🌍 Empowering Women. Inspiring Innovation. Driving Sustainability. 💧

MKSSS's Cummins College of Engineering for Women, Pune, in collaboration with Cummins India Foundation and WaterAid India, proudly participated in the Water Champion Innovation Challenge 2026—a unique initiative that inspired young innovators to develop sustainable, women-led solutions for building water-secure communities.

The challenge served as a prelude to Impact Dialogue 2.0, encouraging students to address real-world water challenges through innovation, technology, and social entrepreneurship while contributing to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Highlights of Cummins College Participation
🔹 120+ students enthusiastically participated.

🔹 46 multidisciplinary teams proposed innovative, low-cost, and scalable solutions addressing water conservation, governance, and community resilience.

🔹 After a rigorous evaluation process, the Top 5 teams were shortlisted to present their innovations at Impact Dialogue 2.0, hosted at Cummins India on 30 July 2026.

To provide students with valuable industry exposure, an Industrial Visit was organized, enabling them to interact with industry leaders, innovators, and sustainability experts while showcasing their solutions on a prestigious platform.

CCEW, Pune, Students Awarded Prestigious JASSO Scholarship at Hiroshima University, Japan

MKSSS's Cummins College of Engineering for Women (CCEW), Pune, is proud to announce that three of our students, Ms. Adwita Jain, Ms. Chetna Koul and Ms. Maitreyee Badgire, have been awarded the prestigious JASSO (Japan Student Services Organization) Scholarship during their research internship at Hiroshima University, Japan. The students are currently pursuing their six-month research internship at Hiroshima University.

The JASSO Scholarship is awarded to a limited number of international exchange students through a rigorous selection process. The selection is based on several criteria, including excellent academic performance, a strong personal record, and a well-defined study plan that demonstrates the student's commitment to academic and research excellence in Japan.

Earlier, the students were also awarded financial support by CCEW, Pune, to undertake their research internship at Hiroshima University. The JASSO Scholarship is a significant recognition of their academic excellence and research potential.

This achievement reflects the high quality of education and holistic development fostered at CCEW, Pune. It is a recognition of our students' academic merit, dedication, and global outlook, while also reinforcing CCEW Pune's growing reputation as an institution that prepares students to excel in international academic and research environments.

MKSSS's Cummins College of Engineering for Women (CCEW), Pune, is pleased to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with Binghamton University, State University of New York (SUNY), USA, marking an important step toward strengthening international academic engagement and collaboration.

The MoA establishes a framework for cooperation in areas such as student mobility, faculty engagement, global learning opportunities, and innovation through international partnerships. The agreement reflects both institutions' shared commitment to providing students and faculty with opportunities for global exposure, academic enrichment, and cross-cultural learning.

Successful Completion of 3-Day Faculty Development Program on
Universal Human Values (UHV)

The Department of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, MKSSS’s Cummins College of Engineering for Women, Pune, successfully organized a 3-Day Faculty Development Program (FDP) on Universal Human Values (Introductory) from 1st June to 3rd June 2026 under the aegis of NCCIP-AICTE.

The FDP was conducted with the objective of promoting value-based education and holistic human development in alignment with the vision of NEP 2020 and AICTE initiatives.

Participants engaged in insightful and interactive sessions on:
● Self-Exploration and Holistic Development
● Happiness and Prosperity
● Harmony in the Human Being
● Harmony in Family through Trust and Respect
● Harmony in Society, Nature, and Existence
● Value-Based Education and Responsible Living

The inaugural function was graced by Shri Ravindraji Deo, Chairman, MKSSS, as the Chief Guest, and Dr. Madhuri Khambete, Principal, MKSSS’s Cummins College of Engineering for Women, Pune.

The sessions were conducted by Shri Umesh Jadhav, National Resource Person for Universal Human Values, with valuable support from Dr. Prashant B. Daigavane (Observer) and Mrs. Revati Rajiv Deshpande (Co-Facilitator).

A total of 89 faculty members registered, representing both the host institution and other educational institutions.
The FDP provided a meaningful platform for self-reflection, dialogue, and understanding of human values, reinforcing the role of educators in nurturing ethical, responsible, and socially conscious citizens.

We express our sincere gratitude to AICTE, NCCIP, the resource team, institutional leadership, organizing committee members, and all participants for their valuable support and enthusiastic participation.
