🌱 SAY NO TO PLASTIC! 🌍
August 2026

At Rainbow Montessori School, Habri, an awareness campaign on “Say No to Plastic” was conducted to encourage our students and the community to understand the harmful effects of plastic and adopt eco-friendly habits. ♻️💚

Different age-appropriate activities were organised for our students:

🖐️ Nursery to Grade 12: Pledge taken by students along with the entire staff to reduce and avoid the use of plastic.

👍👎 Nursery to Grade 2: Thumbs Up & Thumbs Down Activity to help our little learners identify plastic-friendly and eco-friendly choices.

🎤 Grades 3–5: Speech Contest to express their thoughts on the importance of saying no to plastic.

♻️ Grades 6–8: Best Out of Waste activity, promoting creativity and the reuse of waste materials.

📢 Grades 9–12: Awareness Rally to spread the message of plastic-free living in society.

✍️ Grades 11–12: Essay Writing Competition on the theme of plastic pollution and environmental responsibility.

Through these activities, our students learned that small changes in our daily choices can create a big difference for our planet. 🌎✨

On August 03, 2026, our little learners from Nursery to UKG celebrated National Watermelon Day with great enthusiasm and excitement. Through fun-filled hands-on activities, children explored the vibrant world of watermelons while learning about healthy eating, colours, shapes, counting, and the importance of staying hydrated.

🎯 Learning Objectives:
🍉 To encourage healthy eating habits.
🍉 To identify the colour, shape, size, and seeds of a watermelon.
🍉 To develop fine motor skills through creative art and craft activities.
🍉 To enhance observation, vocabulary, and sensory exploration.
🍉 To promote participation, teamwork, and joyful learning.
