On 5th June 2026, World Environment Day celebrated with great enthusiasm and active participation by the students of Dawat-Ul-Gaq Haq Islamic Public School Galhouta. The programme aimed to create awareness about environmental protection and encourage students to adopt eco-friendly habits.
The celebration began with a special morning assembly where students delivered speeches on the importance of protecting nature and conserving natural resources. A debate competition was organized on environmental issues, allowing students to express their views and suggest solutions for a greener future.
Students actively participated in a painting and poster-making competition, displaying creative ideas related to environmental conservation, waste management, pollution control, and biodiversity protection. A tree plantation drive was conducted within the school premises, where students and teachers planted saplings and pledged to take care of them.
An awareness rally was organized around the local area. Students carried placards and raised slogans promoting environmental protection, cleanliness, water conservation, and the reduction of plastic use. The rally successfully spread the message of environmental responsibility among community members.
Other activities included a quiz competition on environmental topics, slogan-writing competition, essay-writing competition, and a cleanliness drive in and around the school campus. Students also presented skits and poems highlighting the importance of protecting the Earth for future generations.
The Principal appreciated the efforts of the students and teachers and encouraged everyone to continue working towards a cleaner, greener, and healthier environment. The programme concluded with a pledge to protect nature and contribute positively to environmental sustainability.
"Save Earth, Save Life" was the central message of the celebration.
