👉 सवाल - भारत में राष्ट्रीय चिकित्सक दिवस 1 जुलाई को क्यूं मनाया जाता है ?

👉 जवाब - महान भारतीय चिकित्सक डॉ. विधान चंद्र रॉय का जन्म 1 जुलाई 1882 ई० को बिहार के पटना जिले में हुआ था । उन्होने अपनी मेडिकल की पढ़ाई कोलकाता से पूरी की तथा बाद में वे FRCS & MRCP की उपाधि लंदन से प्राप्त की । 1911 में उन्होंने भारत में अपने चिकित्सीय जीवन की शुरुआत की । उसके बाद वो कोलकाता मेडिकल कॉलेज के कुलपति बने ।

⚡उस वक्त के जाने माने तथा मशहूर फिजिशियन डॉ. राम रतन सरकार की बेटी कल्याणी और डॉ. विधान रॉय एक दूसरे से प्यार कर बैठे । बाद में जब डॉ विधान रॉय, डॉ राम रतन के पास उनकी बेटी का हाथ मांगने गए तो उस रिश्ते के लिए डॉ राम रतन ने साफ इंकार कर दिया । उसके बाद डॉ विधान रॉय आजीवन अविवाहित रहे तथा उन्होंने बाद में कल्याणी के नाम से कई कॉलेज तथा एक कल्याणी शहर भी बसाया ।

⚡भारतीय जनमानस के लिए प्रेम , सामाजिक उत्थान की भावना डॉ राय को राजनीति में ले आई । वे भारतीय राष्ट्रीय कांग्रेस के सदस्य बने और बाद में पश्चिम बंगाल के मुख्यमंत्री भी बने ।

⚡ डॉ रॉय को भारत रत्न से भी सम्मानित किया गया ।
⚡ डॉ राय के सम्मान में सन 1991 से भारतीय राष्ट्रीय चिकित्सक दिवस 1 जुलाई से मनाते आ रहे है।
