*By the Hon'ble Supreme Court*
*Regarding the Compulsory Nature of TET*
*After the Judgment Delivered on 1 September 2025*

1. *Parliament Icon:* To colleagues who question the actions being taken by the organization on this issue, we have always said that in a democracy, Parliament is supreme. Our problem will be resolved by Parliament only. Therefore, TFI submitted memoranda to all MPs of the country to convey our point to Parliament.

2. *People Icon:* Most members from both the ruling party and the opposition in Parliament raised this issue and demanded a resolution to the problem.

3. *Fist Icon:* TFI held sit-in demonstrations at the headquarters of all districts and sent memoranda to the Hon'ble Prime Minister through the District Magistrates.

4. *Megaphone Icon:* TFI organized a massive rally at Ramlila Maidan, Delhi on 4 April and conveyed its point to the Government of India. Hon'ble MP Shri Jagdambika Pal was invited as a representative of the Government of India, and Shri Pal conveyed the presence of your lakhs of members and information about your issue to the government.

5. *Handshake Icon:* High-level talks were held and a demand for resolution was made after meeting Hon'ble Union Education Minister Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, BJP Uttar Pradesh State President Shri Pankaj Chaudhary, and Union Minister of State Shri Jitin Prasada.

6. *Scales of Justice Icon:* Since the order has come from the Supreme Court, it is necessary to fight the legal battle strongly. Upon acceptance of the review, TFI fielded Senior Advocates Shri P.S. Patwalia and Shri V. Giri in court for the open court hearing.

7. *Document Icon:* During the hearing, all learned advocates argued that when the RTE Act was implemented by Parliament during the Government of India (Manmohan Singh Government), teachers appointed before 23 August 2010 were given exemption from TET. However, the Hon'ble Judge remained firm on enforcing the compulsion to pass the TET exam for all teachers appointed and working up to 31 March 2015, through the Gazette dated 10 August 2017 issued in pursuance of the amendment passed by Parliament during the Government of India (Modi Government).

8. *Government Building Icon:* During the hearing, advocates of 10 state governments were present, but none accepted that in the last 8 years, any state government had issued any notice or order to implement TET for all teachers.

*Yellow Box at Bottom:*
The court has reserved the verdict, which is expected soon. Lawyers have their own opinion, but we wish that the decision is in your favor. If the decision is favorable, congratulations to all, and if unfavorable, do not be discouraged. We will continue our movement forward and will tell the Modi Government to withdraw the amendment that was made during your government's tenure — this sin/injustice/amendment — and do justice to 25 lakh teachers and their crores of family members across the country.

*Dr. Dinesh Chandra Sharma*
National President
*Teacher Federation of India*
