The people of S***m were of the most immoral and insolent nature. Although they were guilty of many vices, one stands out glaringly among all the rest – homosexuality or so**my – they were the first people in human history to practice homosexuality. It is reported that these people would commit perverted deeds openly in their gatherings, and they cut the access of travellers to their roadways, robbing and killing them, after perhaps first forcing them engage in unnatural acts. And it was not only some or even a majority of Lut’s AS people who engaged in such practice; rather it was the entire population.

Lut (Arabic: لوط, romanized: Lūṭ, [luːtˁ]), known as Lot in the Old Testament, is a prophet of God in the Quran. According to Islamic tradition, Lut was born to Haran and spent his younger years in Ur, later migrating to Canaan with his uncle Abraham.
He was sent to the cities of S***m and Gomorrah as a prophet, and was commanded to preach to their inhabitants on monotheism and the sinfulness of homosexuality and their lustful and.

Though Lut was not born among the people he'd been sent to preach to, the people of S***m are still regarded as his "brethren" in the Quran. Like the Biblical narrative, the Quran states that Lut's messages were ignored by the inhabitants of the cities, and S***m and Gomorrah were subsequently destroyed. The destruction of the cities is traditionally presented as a warning ag*inst homosexuality in Islam as well as other things.

While the Quran does not elaborate upon Lut's later life, Islam holds that all prophets were examples of moral and spiritual '
