Subject: “100 Days Intensive Campaign” under Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan (NMBA) organised at Government UPS Chewakhurd.
The “100 Days Intensive Campaign” under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan (NMBA) was successfully organized on 30th April 2026 at Government UPS Chewakhurd with the objective of creating awareness regarding the harmful effects of drug abuse and promoting a drug-free society.
The programme was graced by Mr. Fayaz Ahmad Mir, Senior Lecturer from Higher Secondary School Karimabad, who attended as the Chief Guest. The event was also attended by respected members of civil society of Chewakhurd, parents, and representatives from various concerned departments, making it a well-participated and community-oriented initiative.
During the programme, the distinguished speakers, particularly Mr. Fayaz Ahmad Mir and Mr. Abdul Gani Dar- ex lecturer, highlighted the significance of the campaign and emphasized the urgent need for collective efforts to curb the menace of drug abuse. They also stressed the importance of awareness, early intervention, and community participation for the effective implementation of the campaign objectives.
Students of Government UPS Chewakhurd actively participated with great enthusiasm and zeal. They effectively communicated the message of a drug-free society through various activities including drama, skits, speeches, and Kashmiri cultural songs, which were highly appreciated by the audience.
The programme concluded on a positive and inspiring note with a formal vote of thanks presented by Mr. Abdul Qayoom Kuchi- HOI UPS Chewakhurd, who expressed gratitude to all the dignitaries, participants, and attendees for their valuable presence and contributions.
The event was conducted in a highly organized and impactful manner, leaving the audience informed, motivated, and committed towards the cause of building a drug-free society. The overall response to the programme was overwhelmingly positive, marking it as a successful step towards achieving the goals of the NMBA.

Reopening of our school for the session 2026

Government UPS Chewakhurd successfully organized vibrant Children’s Day celebrations along with a Grand Parent–Teacher Meeting (PTM) today, bringing together students, parents and teachers in a joyful and meaningful gathering.
The programme began with a warm welcome address, followed by a colourful cultural presentation by the students. Children showcased their talents through songs, dances, skits and speeches dedicated to Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru and the spirit of childhood. The school premises were filled with excitement as various fun activities, games and competitions were conducted for students.
The Grand PTM held alongside the celebrations witnessed an overwhelming participation of parents. Teachers interacted with them to discuss the academic progress, behavioural development and learning needs of students. Parents appreciated the school’s efforts in maintaining transparent communication and providing a supportive learning environment.
Speaking on the occasion, the school head highlighted the significance of Children’s Day and emphasized the vital role of parents and teachers in shaping the future of students. He thanked all stakeholders for their active participation.
The event concluded with distribution of sweets and certificates, making the day memorable for every child. The school reaffirmed its commitment to fostering holistic development and strengthening the home–school partnership.
