As in every year, we celebrated Grandparents Day on 11/Sep when all the lovely Grandpa’s and Grandma’s spent time at school with their grand children. They did some art and craft, took lovely pictures at our Photo Booth, enjoyed delicious snacks and felt like little children again. Children also made cards for their Grandparents who couldn’t attend.

In this hectic life that parents lead, Grandparents offer a shade that is invaluable. They instill family values onto their grand children and offer their wise counsel from their life experiences.

We dedicate this Ganesh Chathurthi to all our lovely Grandparents - a true remover of obstacles.

Rice transplanting experiential learning

Rice has been a staple part of our diet and it was a lovely experience for the learners to know how rice is grown before it reaches their plate. The children helped transplant rice in a tiny part of the field and earned some delicious ‘Donne’ and Alsane with jaggery and coconut as a treat.

Construction area in role play has important benefits for development of children. These include:
- Enabling children to learn visual spatial awareness.
- Social development increases while interacting and working with others.
- Children begin to solve problems and develop problem solving skills while constructing.
- Enables children to cooperate with one another.
- Awareness of common shapes
- Enhanced vocabulary as children begin to describe their idea of what they are making.
