Traffic Awareness Programme Conducted for Students at Police Grounds, Puducherry

Puducherry, June 2026

Students took part in a Traffic Awareness Programme organized by the Puducherry Police at the Police Grounds, Puducherry. The session educated students on road safety, traffic rules, and responsible driving, while also featuring a live demonstration of a Breath Analyzer Machine to highlight the dangers of drunk driving and the importance of safe road practices.

The programme also focused on:

* Road safety rules and traffic signals
* Prevention of fatal road accidents
* Importance of wearing helmets and seat belts
* Awareness regarding juvenile driving
* Educating parents about the risks and legal consequences of handing over vehicles to adolescent teenagers
* Responsible citizenship and safe road behavior

Students held an awareness rally, carrying colorful banners to promote practices like wearing helmets and following traffic rules. Through this public interaction, the children successfully spread crucial road safety messages to their community.

Building Inclusive Classrooms Through Experiential Learning
The first day of the Successive Capacity Building Training Programme was successfully conducted in collaboration with Eaton, Teach For India, Sathya Special School, and Pondicherry Dyslexia Association – Bridges Learning Vidyalaya.

The training focused on the vital topic:

"Understanding Learning Disabilities: Identification and Early Signs"
Moving beyond conventional slides and PowerPoint presentations, the session was designed as an experiential and hands-on learning experience, enabling participants to gain practical insights into the challenges faced by children with learning differences.

The programme featured:

The session was presented and facilitated by our Founder-Mentor, Dr. Bhuvana Vasudevan, whose three decades of dedicated service in special education have empowered thousands of children with diverse learning needs.

A special note of gratitude and respect to Mrs. Chitra, founder of Sathya Special School, for her commitment towards creating inclusive educational opportunities and for partnering in this meaningful initiative.

The enthusiastic participants included the dedicated teaching teams from Sathya Special School and Srishti, who actively engaged in discussions, demonstrations, and practical learning activities aimed at supporting children with special educational needs.
