When health becomes part of the everyday journey, inclusion becomes more than participation.

We are proud to share that Special Olympics Bharat – Puducherry has been recognised at the Annual General Meeting 2026 with the award for Exceptional Leadership in Overall Health Initiatives.

For us, this recognition is not just about an award. It reflects the work behind every training session, every health initiative, every athlete who chooses to stay active, and every family that believes in their potential.

Because an athlete’s journey is not only about medals.

It is about being healthy, feeling confident, building friendships, discovering abilities and having the opportunity to thrive.

This one belongs to every athlete, family, coach, volunteer and team member who continues to make that journey possible.

Together, we keep moving towards a healthier and more inclusive world.

We don’t inherit the Earth from the past. We borrow it from the future.

And if we want that future to be greener, it has to begin with what we do today.

Around 40 little saplings found their place in the soil at Mutrampattu, with our children and their families getting their hands into the earth.

No big promises.
No complicated lessons.

Just little hands planting, parents joining in, and a simple reminder that caring for nature is something we can all learn by doing.

Because a child who learns to plant a tree today may grow up knowing that the world around them is not something to simply use.

It is something to care for.

And maybe that is what meaningful learning looks like.

A lesson that grows long after the day is over.

Sometimes, a medal is not the biggest thing a child takes home.

It is the feeling of being on that stage.
The excitement of performing.
The applause.
The pride of being recognised.

At Nayagan Maatru Kalaivizha 2026, our students from Mutrampattu Centre took the stage with their dance performance and gave it their all. And the smiles that followed were worth every moment.

For 10 students from our CFUL Centre, the day was equally special. They watched the performances, soaked in the celebration and walked back with certificates and medals of their own.

But beyond the photographs, the applause and the prizes, there was something much more important happening.

Our children were being seen.

Seen for their talent.
Seen for their participation.
Seen for what they can do.

This is why inclusive spaces matter.

Because every child deserves not just a place in the audience, but a chance to step onto the stage.

A certificate may mark the end of a training programme.
But for these students, it marks the beginning of something bigger.

The completion of Dental Assistant Training at the VTC Centre is more than a qualification. It is a step towards confidence, meaningful work, and greater independence.

As the students received their graduation certificates, they celebrated not just what they had completed, but what they can now aspire to.

The programme also brought students, parents, trainers, and dental professionals together to explore an important question:

What comes next?

From further training to employment opportunities, the conversations focused on turning skills into real pathways for the future.

Because vocational education should not end with a certificate.

It should open doors. Create choices. And make independence possible.

What happens when we bring SEL and STEM together? We create more opportunities for children to learn, connect and grow together.

Our two-day SEL & STEM training brought educators, special educators and fellows together to explore how learning can become more inclusive, collaborative and meaningful.

From understanding emotions, empathy and relationships to exploring hands-on STEM activities, the training reminded us that learning goes beyond textbooks.

The learning will help educators create peer-led inclusive activities where children with and without disabilities can participate, communicate, collaborate and learn from one another.

Because when children learn together, they build more than knowledge. They build empathy, confidence, friendships and a sense of belonging.

5 days. 5 batches. 250 Anganwadi staff.

But this was never just about numbers.

It was about looking at childhood a little differently.

A small delay. A change in behaviour. A child who struggles to communicate, participate or keep up. Sometimes, these signs are easy to miss. Sometimes, noticing them early can change what happens next.

Over these five days, we explored early identification, prevention, inclusion and inclusive education, and what these can look like in the everyday lives of young children.

Because the first step towards inclusion is not waiting for a child to fall behind.

It is noticing.
It is understanding.
It is knowing what to do next.

And when the people who are closest to children have that understanding, the possibility of reaching a child earlier becomes much greater.

Inclusion doesn't have to begin in a classroom.
It can begin with the person who notices.
