ARB International School Athletes Shine in State and Regional Meets
Pollachi: Students of A.R.B. International School have brought laurels to the institution with their outstanding performances in athletics competitions at the State and regional levels.
At the Tamil Nadu 1st State Inter-School Athletics Championship, organised by the Tamil Nadu Athletic Association at Velammal Global School, Madurai, Kanisha Shri. M won a silver medal in the Under-10 Standing Broad Jump, recording a distance of 1.89 metres. In the Under-12 category, Dharshini M.T. secured gold in Long Jump with a leap of 4.05 metres and bronze in the 80-metre run, clocking 11.11 seconds. Diya Dharshini M. won a bronze medal in Shot Put in the Under-17 category with a throw of 10.86 metres.
At the Coimbatore Track Fest 2026, held at Nehru Stadium on July 31 and August 1, the students added three more gold medals to the school’s achievements. Dharshini M.T. won gold medals in the Under-12 Girls’ 75-metre run and Long Jump, while Aarya Sushanth secured gold in Shot Put in the Under-14 Girls’ category.
These remarkable performances reflect the students’ dedication, discipline, perseverance and determination, along with the guidance and support of their coaches and teachers. Principal Dr. Arasu Periyasamy, Chairman Shri R. Subramaniam, Secretary Shri P. Tamil Selvan, Management Trustees Srimathi Maheswari Subramaniam and Srimathi Thangamani Tamil Selvan, along with the staff and coaches, congratulated the young athletes and wished them continued success in their sporting journey.
