Nature doesn't ask us to copy—it inspires us to create. 🌿🎨
Episode 07 of One Activity Every Month (OAEM), Nature's Canvas, brought together 25 participants for a unique experience where creativity met nature.
Using naturally fallen leaves, flowers, twigs, stones, and other natural materials, every participant transformed their imagination into a one-of-a-kind artwork. There were no templates, no right or wrong answers—only the freedom to observe, imagine, and create.
We were also honoured by the visit of Mrs. Kalpana Devlal, Mayor of Pithoragarh Municipal Corporation, who appreciated the participants' creativity and encouraged such initiatives that promote environmental awareness through art.
Every creation told a different story, reminding us that while nature provides the inspiration, imagination brings it to life.
One Activity Every Month continues its journey of connecting people with Education, Exposure, and Environment—one meaningful experience at a time. 🌱

OAEM Episode 03 - River Walk was conducted as part of the "One Activity Every Month" initiative with the theme of understanding the ecological value of rivers and their ecosystems. The programme aimed to build environmental awareness through direct engagement with a forest river system in the Himalayan region.

The core activity was a 6-kilometre guided river walk along the Yakshwati River, during which participants were encouraged to observe river flow patterns, surrounding vegetation, and signs of human-river interaction. The walk was complemented by a birdwatching session, where several native and migratory bird species were identified, highlighting the river's role as a vital habitat and ecological corridor.

In addition, team-based activities were conducted to promote collaboration, shared learning, and reflection among participants. These activities helped strengthen understanding of ecosystem interdependence and fostered a sense of collective responsibility towards conservation. The programme was attended by 14 participants, ensuring an intimate and interactive learning environment. Overall, Episode 03 successfully facilitated experiential learning, encouraged ecological awareness, and reinforced the importance of conserving river ecosystems as part of a sustainable future.

Thanks to everyone for making this happen Regards
