Tree Plantation Activity at Dr. D.Y. Patil College of Education, Pimpri
As part of the Sankalp Saptah celebrations, Dr. D.Y. Patil College of Education (B.Ed., M.Ed.), Pimpri, organized a Tree Plantation Activity on 20th February 2025. This initiative was conducted in honor of the birthdays of Honourable Dr. P. D. Patil Sir and Honourable Dr. Smita Jadhav Madam. The activity aimed to promote environmental conservation, community welfare, and aesthetic enhancement within society.
Students actively participated by bringing ornamental plants, oxygen-generating plants, and medicinal plants, symbolizing a motivational message for sustainability. Additionally, they brought ceramic pots with inspiring messages, reinforcing the idea of fostering an eco-friendly environment within the college campus.
The activity was conducted under the guidance of Principal Dr. Rekha Pathak, with Dr. Shakuntala Bhosale serving as the in-charge professor. Students from both B.Ed. and M.Ed. programs enthusiastically took part in the event. Each micro-group presented information about the plants they brought, explaining their benefits and environmental significance. The best environmental group was selected based on an evaluation by Principal Dr. Rekha Pathak and the respective micro-group in-charge.

As part of the Salkalp Saptah celebrations, Dr. D. Y. Patil College of Education (B.Ed, M.Ed.), Pimpri, organized a Slogan Writing Competition on the theme "Guru and Guru Ke Mahima" on 21st February 2025. This event was conducted in honor of the birthdays of Honoruable Dr. P. D. Patil Sir and Honoruable Dr. Smita Jadhav Madam.
Under the esteemed guidance of Principal Dr. Rekha Pathak, the competition was successfully executed. The In-Charge Professor for the event was Asst. Prof. Ashwini Gulhane, who meticulously coordinated the competition to ensure its smooth conduct. The evaluation panel included Asst. Prof. Shakuntala Bhosale and Asst. Prof. Ratnamala Baviskar, who served as judges for the event.
A total of 20 enthusiastic participants from both B.Ed. and M.Ed. courses showcased their creativity and deep understanding of the theme through impactful slogans. The competition provided a platform for students to express their reverence and appreciation for teachers and their invaluable contributions to society.
The event concluded on a high note, with participants receiving words of encouragement and appreciation from the judges and faculty members. The competition successfully fostered a spirit of creativity, gratitude, and respect for the teaching profession, aligning with the core values of education and mentorship.

Nature Photography Competition

As part of the Salkalp Saptah celebrations, Dr. D. Y. Patil College of Education (B.Ed, M.Ed.), Pimpri, organized a Nature Photography Competition on 17th February 2025. This event was held in honor of the birthdays of Honoruable Dr. P. D. Patil Sir and Honoruable Dr. Smita Jadhav Madam. The competition aimed to provide a platform for students to showcase their artistic talents and their ability to capture the beauty of nature through photography.
The event was conducted under the esteemed guidance of Principal Dr. Rekha Pathak. The judges for the competition were Asst. Prof. Ashwini Gulhane and Asst. Prof. Suresh Waghmare, who meticulously evaluated the entries based on creativity, composition, and the essence of nature captured in the photographs.
A total of 35 participants from both B.Ed and M.Ed courses enthusiastically took part in the competition. The students displayed remarkable enthusiasm and artistic prowess through their photographs, each capturing unique perspectives of nature’s beauty.
The Nature Photography Competition was a grand success, thanks to the active participation of students and the unwavering support of the college faculty.

As part of the Sankalp Saptah celebrations and in honor of the birthdays of Honoruable Dr. P. D. Patil Sir and Honoruable Dr. Smita Jadhav Madam, Dr. D. Y. Patil College of Education organized a Grocery Collection Drive on 22nd February 2025 to support an Old Age Home and an Orphanage. This initiative aimed to foster social responsibility and encourage student participation in community service.
Under the leadership of Principal Dr. Rekha Pathak and the guidance of Asst. Prof. Ashwini Gulhane, with Asst. Prof. Amol Warade as the In-Charge Professor, students from B.Ed. and M.Ed. programs actively took part in the initiative. M.Ed. students played a key role in leading the collection process, gathering donations from students and faculty members. To facilitate contributions, an appeal was made for a ₹100 donation or grocery items, with a submission deadline of 21st February 2025.
On the day of distribution, representatives from B.Ed. and M.Ed., along with faculty members and Principal Dr. Rekha Pathak, personally visited the Old Age Home and Orphanage to hand over the collected items, which were received with heartfelt gratitude.
The event significantly strengthened community engagement, provided essential support to the elderly and children, and instilled a sense of empathy among participants. The successful ex*****on of the Grocery Collection Drive highlighted the collective power of community service, reinforcing Dr. D. Y. Patil College of Education’s commitment to social initiatives for the betterment of society.

“Best out of Waste”

The students of B.Ed & M.Ed participated in ‘Best out of Waste’ competition held on 18th February, 2025. The objective of the competition was to create love for environment by making best out of waste with help of recyclable things.
Students used their imagination and creativity to make innovative things. They used broken bangles, plastic bottles, waste card sheet paper, paper cups etc. All these things which are waste in our day to day life were used in constructive manner and variety of things were made from them. Students made pen stand, wall hanging decoration items, and paper flowers were artistically made. The criteria for the competition were presentation, use of material, innovation and overall effect.
The Principal, Dr. Rekha Pathak appreciated the creativity of students and motivated them to reduce the waste to save our planet Earth. Competition was organized under the guidance of Principal Dr. Rekha Pathak, and activity coordinator Asst. Prof. Suresh Waghmare, along with M.Ed Interns.

पिंपरी येथील डॉ. डी. वाय. पाटील शिक्षणशास्त्र महाविद्यालयात बी.एड. व एम.एड. सुधारित अभ्यासक्रम व चार वर्षीय एकात्त्मिक बी एड सुधारित अभ्यासक्रमावर कार्यशाळा संपन्न

सावित्रीबाई फुले पुणे विद्यापीठ, पुणे व डॉ. डी. वाय. पाटील शिक्षणशास्त्र महाविद्यालय, पिंपरी, पुणे यांच्या संयुक्त विद्यमाने विद्यापीठ शिक्षणशास्त्र अभ्यास मंडळ यांच्या सहकार्याने गुणवत्तापूर्ण सुधार कार्यक्रमांतर्गत बी.एड. व एम.एड. सुधारित अभ्यासक्रम व चार वर्षीय एकात्त्मिक बी एड कार्यशाळेचे आयोजन सोमवार, दिनांक १९ मे २०२५ रोजी करण्यात आले होते. या कार्यशाळेस डॉ. संजय तांबट, अधिष्ठाता, आंतरविद्याशाखीय अभ्यास विभागाचे सावित्रीबाई फुले पुणे विद्यापीठ प्रमुख पाहुणे म्हणून उपस्थित होते. डॉ. संजय तांबट सरांनी आपल्या अतिथी भाषणामध्ये "विद्यार्थ्यांचे सर्वांगीण विकासासाठी बदलत्या सामाजिक, तांत्रिक आणि सांस्कृतिक गरजेनुसार अभ्यासक्रमात वेळोवेळी सुधारणा गरजेच्या आहेत."असे म्हणाले.
बी.एड. व एम.एड. या पदवीचे सुधारित अभ्यासक्रम आणि बी.एड. एकात्मिक शिक्षक शिक्षण कार्यक्रम या पदवीस नवीन अभ्यासक्रम तयार करण्यासंदर्भात कार्यशाळा घेण्यात आली. राष्ट्रीय शैक्षणिक धोरण २०२० नुसार अभ्यासक्रमातील बदल व रचना, एकूण अभ्यासक्रम मूल्यांकन या संदर्भात माहिती या कार्यशाळेत देण्यात आली. यासाठी विद्यापीठीय प्रशासन व मूल्यमापन अभ्यास मंडळाचे अध्यक्ष डॉ. विजय धामणे, शिक्षणशास्त्र अभ्यास मंडळाचे अध्यक्ष डॉ. वैभव जाधव व शैक्षणिक मानसशास्त्र अभ्यास मंडळाचे अध्यक्ष डॉ. दिपक चव्हाण यांनी कार्यशाळेस मार्गदर्शन केले. अनुक्रमे बी. एड. अभ्यासक्रम डॉ. विजय धामणे, एम एड अभ्यासक्रम डॉ. दिपक चव्हाण आणि चार वर्षीय एकात्त्मिक बी.एड. अभ्यासक्रम डॉ. वैभव जाधव यांनी अभ्यासक्रमाची रचना व स्वरूप कसे असेल याबद्दल सविस्तर माहिती कार्यशाळेत दिली. या कार्यशाळेसाठी पुणे जिल्ह्यातील बी.एड. व एम.एड. महाविद्यालयातील प्राचार्य व प्राध्यापकांनी या कार्यशाळेला भरगोस प्रतिसाद दिला. या कार्यशाळेला विविध महाविद्यालयातील एकूण ८६ प्राचार्य व प्राध्यापक उपस्थित होते.
सतत नाविन्याचा ध्यास असणारे व नवनविन गोष्टी करण्यास प्रेरणा देणारे आमचे प्रेरणास्थान डॉ. डी. वाय पाटील युनिटेक सोसायटीचे अध्यक्ष माननीय डॉ. पी. डी. पाटील सर यांच्या प्रेरणेतून व बदलत्या काळानुसार गुणवत्तापुर्ण कार्य करण्यासाठी मार्गदर्शन करणारे डॉ. डी. वाय. पाटील युनिटेक सोसायटीचे सचिव माननीय डॉ. सोमनाथ पी. पाटील सरांच्या मार्गदर्शनामुळे सदर कार्यशाळा यशस्वीपणे संपन्न झाली . संघटनात्मक कार्य करण्यास प्रबलन देणाऱ्या महाविद्यालयाच्या प्राचार्य डॉ. रेखा पाठक यांनी कार्यक्रमाचे प्रास्ताविक केले. त्यांच्या कुशल नेतुत्वाखाली कार्यशाळा यशस्वीपणे संपन्न झाली.
