Akshara Yoga School is located in the foot hills of Himalayas in the midst of sustainable agriculture farm. Rich biodiversity, pollution free environment, healthy organic food and Yoga competency makes Akshara Yoga School, a one of its kind center for Yoga training in India. The samskrit word ‘Akshara’ denoting the ‘imperishable’, highlights the dictum of Yoga as full awareness of the dimension of

invariable or silence among the variable or dynamism. This awareness of inner silence is the cardinal principle in Yoga to keep us physically fit, mentally calm and emotionally balanced. Aligned to this is the keynote essence of Indian spiritual heritage and our motto of ‘Established in Yoga Perform Action’, as mentioned in the Gita, which helps us to accomplish tasks with minimum stress or wear and tear of mind and body while remaining in perfect harmony and balance with inner and outer nature. Our Yoga Teacher Training in Hatha Yoga is closely knit to aforementioned central message of yoga, to bring out the best hidden in us. A wide range of yogic practices like kriya, asana, pranayama, dhyana and other advance techniques are taught under the program towards gradual proficiency in Yoga learning and teaching. A high quality of life is ensured for students by undertaking learning in safe, comfortable and environmentally clean atmosphere. We provide wholesome vegetarian diet which is organically sourced from our farm and promote daily schedule and lifestyle in tune with cosmic order. Our school is registered with Yoga Alliance, USA, which is a prestigious association of yoga schools and teachers. Students will be eligible to teach yoga anywhere in the world upon successful completion of training from our school.

Did yoga really begin in the ancient Vedas, or is its history far more fascinating?

In our latest blog post, we dive into the true origins of yoga, tracing its evolution from the non-Brahmanical Śramaṇa movements and ancient ascetics to the medieval Ta***ic masters who shaped the subtle body practices we know today.

Discover how scientific discoveries in ancient astronomy, philosophical debates on karma, and intense physical disciplines (tapas) built the foundation of modern practice.

Explore how yoga’s core meditative techniques originated with non-Brahmanical Śramaṇa movements rather than early Vedic rituals, evolving from ancient ascetics to medieval masters.

The O₂ Myth.

Kapalabhati is not about loading oxygen.
It’s about resetting your chemistry.
When you flush out CO₂, you unlock the breath hold and the real oxygen flood begins.

Master the science, master the breath.

Pranayama is not just about “more oxygen.”
It is about balance - when CO₂ is steady, oxygen is released into the tissues more effectively.

That is why after Nadi Shodhana, we feel energized and clear: awareness + science working together.

•Pratyahara•

👉🏾No one can put you into the way they put you into an asana.
👉🏾In asana, a teacher can touch you, physically adjust your position, direct intervene on your body.
👉🏾Pratyahara doesn’t work that way.
👉🏾A teacher can only give instructions and set up the conditions: sequence, breath rhythm, silence.
👉🏾The withdrawal of the senses happens inside your own nervous system not because someone gave it to you.
👉🏾What a teacher training actually gives you is the ability to build those conditions yourself, and eventually to hold that space for others.

This principle has a name: Nishkama Karma = action without attachment to the result. It’s the philosophical spine of the entire Gita, introduced in chapter 2.

📌In our 200-Hour Hatha YTTC, we teach the Bhagavad Gita in a clear, practical way, grounded in the text itself, without mysticism and without asking you to take anything on blind faith.

Our Yoga Teacher Training Course is Hatha Yoga (HYTTC)
👉🏾That’s the main focus every day, every exam.

👉🏾 But twice a week, we also teach a Vinyasa class.
Not to turn you into a Vinyasa teacher. You won’t be tested on it.
👉🏾We do it so you feel a different style with your own body not just read about it in a book.
👉🏾We don’t add Vinyasa to follow a trend. We add it because a teacher who has felt more than one style teaches with more clarity, even when their focus stays Hatha.
👉🏾When you finish, you’ll know Hatha deeply. And you’ll also understand how Vinyasa feels, how it’s built, and how to talk about it with your future students.

Two styles. One clear focus: Hatha.
