Since 1979, BITS Pilani Work Integrated Learning Programmes have enabled working professionals to advance their academic qualifications, and stay relevant in a rapidly changing technology landscape. Started as a ‘Pathashala’ in Pilani, Birla Institute of Technology and Science has emerged as one of the leading universities in the world. The Work Integrated Learning Programmes (WILP) were created with a focus on industry practices, to enable aspiring minds from industries such as IT, Automotive, Manufacturing, BFSI, Civil, Pharma, and Chemicals, to advance their career. Since 1979, over 1,00,000 professionals have been able to earn higher education qualifications in contemporary engineering and technology domains, and get ahead of their peers in a highly competitive workplace.

Autonomous Vehicle Technology Expo Europe 2026 provided BITS Pilani WILP with an opportunity to showcase its engineering capability to a global audience driving innovation in software-defined mobility.

Over three days, we demonstrated practical approaches to Software-Defined Vehicle (SDV) Security, Automotive Cybersecurity, Pe*******on Testing, and Cybersecurity Validation through live demonstrations and our AVT Live Zone Presentation on Securing Software-Defined Autonomous Vehicles Through Practical Cybersecurity and Validation Frameworks.

Our participation highlighted how applied engineering, industry-integrated learning, and research-driven problem-solving can help address real-world cybersecurity and validation challenges across connected mobility ecosystems.

The expo also enabled meaningful engagement with automotive companies, technology providers, researchers, and academic institutions, creating opportunities to exchange ideas, explore collaborations, and discuss the engineering capabilities required across next-generation mobility systems.

We thank everyone who visited our booth, attended the Live Zone Presentation, and interacted with our team. We look forward to building on these engagements and continuing to contribute to industry-relevant engineering capability and secure software-defined mobility.

We are happy to share that Dr. Ramya K, Domain Lead – PGD Automotive Cybersecurity and Faculty In-Charge, Pe*******on Testing Center, has been invited to speak at the AVT Live Zone, Autonomous Vehicle Technology Expo Europe 2026, following the selection of her technical presentation proposal titled:

"Securing Software-Defined Autonomous Vehicles Through Practical Cybersecurity and Validation Frameworks."

The session, scheduled for 23 June 2026 (Day 1) at 10.30 am at Messe Stuttgart, Germany, will focus on practical approaches to cybersecurity validation and pe*******on testing for Software-Defined Vehicles (SDVs), including black-box and white-box testing methodologies, CAN bus security validation, wireless and OTA attack surface assessment, ECU firmware analysis, and security validation frameworks for connected mobility ecosystems.
