BITS RC Club is group of students, all of whom are enthusiastic about ANYTHING which can be Radio-Controlled! Though we primarily deal in Aircrafts, Boats and of course Cars, new ideas are always welcome. ;)
A part of our aim is to spread awareness about such things, coz anyways u don't see a lot of small remote-controlled planes flying by do you? Its a whole new level of fun!...one u cant bear stepping down from...EVER! :D

Radio-Control (RC), the Aerial Robotics team of BITS Pilani added another medal in their trophy box. The Team made an impressive debut in the SUAS competition annually conducted by AUVSI. The AUVSI SUAS Competition is designed to foster interest in Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) and to engage students in a challenging UAS mission. The competition required us to design, integrate, and demonstrate a UAS capable of autonomous flight and navigation, and ex*****on of a specific set of tasks. For this, the team made videos of flights, presented them to the jury and published a journal paper on the design and implementation of drone. In its maiden attempt, our team came 39th overall and 6th in India competing among the teams like IIT Bombay, IIIT Delhi, M. S. Ramaiah Institute, DTU, etc.
This newfound success has inspired the juniors to attempt it regularly from now on and seriously challenge for a top position.

Achieved Autonomous flight on a test drone. Take off, Waypoint navigation and RTL everything done without manual control. Landing was done manually as Auto Land will be done when a landing gear is applied to the airplane.
Way to go.!

This time we give you a on-flight view from a completely autonomous drone. This video includes autonomous takeoff and navigation with Pixhawk

Another flight session with Pixhawk but this time with a perfect landing!!! :)

Successful Test flight using Pixhawk stabilization.

According to our design for , we needed to test how Pixhawk behaves in a twin prop configuration. Our predictions were mostly confirmed as Pixhawk has no problem stabilizing a twin prop design.
