With the continued rapid expansion of artificial intelligence, businesses are facing challenges that are more human than machine. This involves ethics, governance and human values. As AI becomes more and more indispensable, it's high time we start address these with new technology.

Artificial intelligence (AI) technology continues to advance by leaps and bounds and is quickly becoming a potential disrupter and essential enabler for nearly every company in every industry. At this stage, one of the barriers to widespread AI deployment is no longer the technology itself; rather,....

With artificial intelligence tools and software already booming since a few years, the industry has found a new opportunity. AI is saving millions of lives by compensating for two huge constraints in the heathcare industry- lack of time and lack of workforce.

Rizwan Malik had always had an interest in AI. As the lead radiologist at the Royal Bolton Hospital, run by the UK’s National Health Service (NHS), he saw its potential to make his job easier. In his hospital, patients often had to wait six hours or more for a specialist to look at their x-rays......

With the world going through a global pandemic caused by the SARS-CoV-2, the entire civilization is relying on the scientific community to find a cure for this infection. Being science lovers, it is apt for us to keep ourselves updated about the ongoing progress in this field. An article by the World Economic Forum (WEF) serves the purpose well. Give it a quick read.

Currently, there are over 70 vaccine candidates in development around the world. Here are 20 of the most promising drugs, therapies and vaccines.

Hola tech-lovers!!
We hope you're safe and surely inside your homes.
The current times are something special. A virus, as small as 80 nanometres, has created havoc in the entire planet. Nations, businesses and economies have come to a halt. But what hasn't stopped and surely can't be stopped is "science". In fact, science, technology and research has become more necessary than ever. The goal of scientific research now isn't simply to improve human lives. But to help us survive, else we're bound to be wiped off off the planet.
With the current lockdown giving us ample time and scientific research becoming more intense and interesting than ever. We, at IEEE-BPSC can't miss this opportunity to promote science and research (as we always love to do).
Hence, it's crucial you read more science, more about tech-research, about COVID-19 vaccine progress, about the various technologies being used in the current times.
Surely, we'll be sharing articles and pieces of info, while you delve deeper into it.
Until then, adios!

Greetings tech folks!

Tech RevIEEEw is the annual newsletter of the Institute of Electrical & Electronics Engineers (IEEE)-BITS Pilani Student Chapter. IEEE , being a global organisation of technology innovators and appreciators, our newsletter is aimed towards the tech-savvy people of BITS Pilani- Pilani campus.

The 2019-2020 edition will be a digital version and will be circulated all throughout the IEEE fraternity as well as on campus.

Q. How can I contribute?

IEEE-BITS Pilani Student Chapter is inviting entries from all BITSians for the 2019-2020 edition of its annual newsletter.

These entries do not need to fit a specific mold; we know that's not how technology works. It can be anything ranging from something completely out-of-the-box to something common. What you create is up to you: articles, poetry, sketches, caricutures, comics- our newsletter is eager to publish anything. But the only constraint is, it should be based on "Technology".

Q.When is the deadline?

25th January, 2020 is the date when we'll stop accepting any more submissions. We're sure, that's enough time to research and create a submission.

Q. How many submissions can I make?

There is no upper limit on the number of entries that you can submit. More the number of submissions, higher the chance that your creation will get published.

You can send in your entries to [email protected] .In case of any queries, feel free to reach out to us.

Greetings!
This APOGEE, where we discuss thee Reality Roulette, let's witness the game of soccer between two robots. IEEE BITS Pilani Student Chapter brings the kernel event RoboSoccer where two robots try to score a goal by pushing the ball in each other’s goal post.

RoboSoccer:

This game allows you to showcase your robotics skills by making your own football squad (robotic device and controls) and compete with other players in a field. The bot will be controlled remotely by the player using a wired or wireless controller. The teams will be judged on the basis of maximum number of goals scored in a given amount of time.

Come in teams of 2-5 and participate in one of the biggest robotics events of APOGEE 2019!

Date: 31st March, Sunday
Time: 10 AM
Venue: SAC TT Hall
