A Noble Tribute to Mahamandaleshwar Swami Ishwar Dass Ji Shastri Through an Act of Service

Commemorating the ‘Punya Tithi’ of Mahamandaleshwar Swami Ishwar Dass Ji Shastri, a thoughtful service initiative was undertaken by Swami Sant Dass Public School, Phagwara. As a gesture of service and care for the school community, a water cooler was presented to Government Girls High School, Chachoki, by Mahamandaleshwar Swami Shantanand Ji Maharaj, President, Swami Sant Dass Public School, Phagwara, along with representatives of the school, Mr. Avtaar Singh, Mr. Paramjit Khurana, and Principal Ms. Anju Mehta.
The gesture beautifully reflected the values of selfless service, compassion, and community welfare, serving as a meaningful tribute to the legacy and teachings of Mahamandaleshwar Swami Ishwar Dass Ji Shastri.

The mentioned activities were held with great enthusiasm and active participation. The Nursery students enjoyed the Tree Decoration Activity, where they decorated trees creatively and learned about the importance of trees and nature. The activity helped to develop their creativity, fine-motor skills and environmental awareness. The LKG students participated enthusiastically in the Poetical Recitation Competition – Stage Activity, showcasing their confidence, expression, clear pronunciation and voice modulation. The activity helped them develop their communication and presentation skills. The students were encouraged and appreciated by Mrs. Anju Mehta (Principal) and Mrs. Anu Sharma (Headmistress) for their enthusiastic participation and confident performances. Whereas, the UKG students observed Safety Day, through which they learned simple safety rules for school, home and road.

Friday Freedom Fest: School Celebrates the Spirit of Independence

The school campus came alive with the colours of patriotism as students of Classes VI–X participated enthusiastically in a special Friday Independence Day Celebration on August 14, 2026.
The celebration featured a vibrant range of creative activities, including tricolour cap making, patriotic greeting cards, paper-bag making, tricolour badges and bookmarks, wall hangings, and creative artwork using handprints. Students also took part in engaging activities such as Kaushal Bodh projects and “Elephants in Culture Gaja Lok ” challenge.
A special highlight of the celebration was the Inter-House Punjabi Declamation Competition for Classes VI-VIII, where students showcased their confidence, eloquence and oratory skills. The Competition was graciously judged by Ms. Jasdeep Kaur, Punjabi teacher at Govt. School.
The activities provided students with an opportunity to express their creativity while celebrating the values of freedom, unity and national pride. The day concluded on a proud note, leaving everyone with the message that true independence is not only about freedom, but also about responsibility, creativity and contributing positively to the nation.

Swami Sant Dass Junior School celebrated 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐓𝐞𝐞𝐣 with great enthusiasm and patriotic spirit. Students of UKG Red, Class II Red, Class III Red & Pink and Class IV Red presented colourful performances showcasing patriotism, culture, and talent.
The vibrant Teej celebrations added joy and traditional charm to the occasion. Principal Ma’am, Ms Anju Mehta appreciated the students’ participation and encouraged them to uphold the values of freedom, unity and respect for our rich heritage.
The programme concluded with the distribution of prizes and trophies for Class Decoration and Best House Board Decoration, recognizing the creativity and dedication of the teachers.

🌸 Celebrating Freedom, Culture & Tradition! 🌸

A Special Assembly was organised to commemorate Independence Day and celebrate the vibrant festival of Teej, bringing together the spirit of patriotism, cultural pride, and festive joy.

Students presented graceful dances, meaningful skits, and energetic cultural performances, expressing their love for the country while showcasing the richness of Indian traditions. The stage came alive with joy, rhythm, and festive spirit.

In addition, students of Classes V and VI displayed their artistic talent through drawings of national symbols and monuments of India, reflecting pride, knowledge, and respect for our motherland.

Our respected Principal, Mrs. Anju Mehta, appreciated the sincere efforts of students and teachers. She shared an inspiring message reminding everyone that true freedom also means working together to remove social evils from society.

A beautiful celebration of confidence, expression, and the love for poetry! Our students of Classes V and VI participated enthusiastically in the English Poetical Recitation Competition held on 14th August 2026. Their expressive voices, confidence, and graceful presentations made the event truly memorable.

We extend our deepest gratitude and highest respect to our esteemed Principal, Mrs. Anju Mehta, whose constant encouragement, inspiring guidance, and unwavering support motivate our students and teachers to always strive for excellence. Creativity and Skill-Based Activities Organised for Students
To promote creativity and hands-on learning, the school organised a series of class-wise activities on 7 August 2026 (Friday). Students participated enthusiastically in all the activities that included pen stand making, crochet Rakhi making, Magazine Holder making, Book jacket designing, Paper bag making, Spectacles pouch and holder making, Making key chains from old jeans, Bottle decoration and Practical sessions in plumbing and electricals using Kaushal Bodh kits.
An exciting Inter-House Debate Competition for Classes IX–XII provided a wonderful platform for young learners to showcase their talent by confidently presenting their views on contemporary issues and showcasing their critical thinking and public speaking skill. The event was graciously judged by Ms. Gagandeep Khaira, Vice Principal of State Public school, jalandhar cantt.
The day provided students with an opportunity to showcase their creativity, develop practical skills, and learn the importance of reusing waste materials in innovative ways.

Whereas, the LKG students enjoyed the Fruit Fiesta, through which they learned the importance of eating healthy and nutritious food to keep themselves fit and healthy. The UKG students participated enthusiastically in the Poetical Recitation Competition, a stage activity that provided them with an opportunity to showcase their confidence, expression, clear pronunciation and voice modulation. The winners were motivated and honoured by Mrs. Anju Mehta (Principal) and Mrs. Anu Sharma ( Headmistress).
