GNA University-The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, School of Engineering Design & Automation, organized a workshop on “From Automation to Digital Twin: Future of Smart Engineers”. The session was delivered by Ms Harsween Kaur, Chief Operating Officer cm Director of Wonder Systems Pvt. Ltd., Mohali, who is an industry expert in automation and smart technologies.
The objective of the workshop was to elaborate on how digital twins create virtual replicas of physical systems, enabling real-time monitoring, simulation, and predictive maintenance.
Real-world industrial examples and case studies were presented to demonstrate the practical implementation and advantages of digital twins in manufacturing and process industries.

GNA University, through its Intellectual Property Management and Commercialization Cell, in collaboration with the Punjab State Council for Science and Technology, successfully organized a National-Level Seminar that focused on the role of Intellectual Property, Technology Readiness Levels, and academia–industry collaboration in transforming innovative ideas into commercially viable solutions.
The seminar featured distinguished experts, including Dr. Deepak Kapoor, Senior Scientist, PSCST (Guest from PSCST); Ms. Prerna Dalal, CEO & Project Manager, CLINTAKE Solutions; Er. Amardev Singh, Assistant Professor, NITTTR; Dr. T. Pavan Kumar, Principal Scientist – Chemistry & IPR, CSIR-IMMT; and Advocate Govindpreet Singh, Legal Expert in IPR. Their insightful sessions provided valuable perspectives on innovation, intellectual property protection, and technology commercialization.
The initiative effectively strengthened academia–industry collaboration and promoted the utilization of intellectual property for societal and economic development.

A Freehand Car Sketching Workshop was successfully conducted at GNA University for B.Design students, led by Mr Vishal Gill, Industrial Designer at Hero Cycles Pvt. Ltd.
The session offered valuable insights into automotive form development, proportion, and real-world design thinking.
Students explored the fundamentals of visual storytelling through sketching while enhancing their creativity and conceptual skills.

The lecture was delivered by Dr. Sumedha Bhandari, Professor of English at Punjab Agricultural University, who offered a nuanced exploration of contemporary literary trends, thematic concerns, and evolving narrative strategies.

GNA University- School of Physical Education & Sports organized a visit to the State Training Centre Tara Devi, which was enriching. It provided students with a deeper understanding of the vital role training centres play in personal and community advancement.
The camp also provided an overview of their training modules, which focus on skill development in areas such as leadership, communication, and vocational training.
On the second day, everyone participated in interactive workshops where we learned about effective teaching methods and the importance of hands-on training.
Overall, the visit to the State Training Centre Tara Devi was enriching, providing me with a deeper understanding of the vital role training centres play in personal and community advancement.
