GNA-University students from Faculty Of Design And Innovation, CAD/CAM visited at JMP Industries Jalandhar, the prime Manufacturer, Exporter and Supplier of a qualitative assortment of Metal Brackets, Mechanical Castings, Assembly Housing, Mechanical Components, Automotive Components, Wheel Hubs, Suspension Parts, Spring Brackets, Spring Shackles, etc. here students got practical knowledge on manufacturing process of automotive components, wheel hubs, Suspension Parts, Spring Brackets Spring Shackles and many components from initial to final dispatch including heating methods both diesel furnaces and induction heating , pattern making , green sand casting , low bake molding , how they overcome the casting defects whether the defects are coming due to environmental conditions or by some other causes, By dexterous professionals using well-tested raw materials and modern machines in tune with the global quality standards.

More than 60 students of Faculty of Design and Innovation (CAD/CAM) attended the seminar on PDM (Product Data Management) and PLMS (Product Lifecycle Management System) Technology. The seminar was conducted by Mr. C.R. Tripathy, DEAN, Faculty of Design and Innovation (CAD/CAM). They got awareness about the latest technology and the need for these technologies in the modern industrial scenario. The seminar had a particular emphasis upon the use of PDM and PLMS for the 21st century Engineer to excel in his field task.

Personality Development
About 95 students of Faculty of Design & Innovation- CAD/CAM attended the Session of Personality Development. This session as well as the concurrent sessions will focus upon body language, speaking skills, interview skills and resume writing to help students in developing a professional approach to strengthen their career.

Industrial Visit at GNA Duraparts Ltd
About 50 students of 1st Semester B.Tech Mechanical Engineering(CAD/CAM) visited GNA Duraparts Ltd for One day visit. They were pre-introduced to the manufacturing trends and technologies. The students visited Die Manufacturing Shop, Forging Shop, CNC Shop, Heat Treatment Shop and the various machines used in the process to understand about the changing scenario as a fundamental base for learning the Digital Manufacturing Process Prodigy.

Seminar on Synchronous Technologies

Faculty of Design and Innovation (CAD/CAM) organised seminar on Role of Solid edge using Synchronous Technologies in Modern Industries & scope of CAD/CAM. Mr Gaurav Sachdeva (Director Ryanus Technologies) Faridabad partner of SIEMENS Industry Software was invited as resource person.
Around 140 Students attended this Seminar and got knowledge on Femap Express (Analysis)Synchronous modelling. Mr Gaurav‘s Share his Practical Experience with live examples related to that Technology. At the end quiz was organized and winners were awarded.

GNA Organises Campus Placement
GNA University organised a campus recruitment drive for students of the Faculty of Design and Innovation (CAD/CAM) Noida-based Creative Tools Pvt. Ltd. Shortlisted Seven candidates out of 25 after conducting a written test, group discussion and personal interviews.Mr. SP Sharma, Managing Director of Creative Tools Pvt. Ltd. Congratulated S. Gurdeep Singh Seehra Prsident SASECT and the CEO GNA Duraparts Ltd., for Running CAD/CAM Programmes which is bridging the gap between the education institutes and industrial requirements. The issue was also discussed with Mr. CR Tripathy. Dean, Faculty of Design & Innovation.

Mr. S P Sharma (MD, Creative Tools Pvt. Ltd. Noida ) conducted seminar on Reverse Engineering and 3D Scanning Process to current CAD/CAM students in GNA university. He has 30 year experience in the field of design and development that he has done for different industries. He has rich experience of 3D white lighting scanning, Reverse engineering. More than 100 students attended Seminar and got knowledge on live project work for 3D scanning & Reverse Engineering process.

Demonstration on Real Life Tool Assembly, given by Mr. C R Tripathy, Dean, Faculty of Design and Innovation ( CAD/CAM). More then 90 students were present in this session and they got knowledge on plastic Mold Design and pressure Die Casting mold design.
