As said by Albert Einstein " The only source of knowledge is experience ", the visit to National Brain Research Center(NBRC) was indeed a great experience for all. Visit to the Computational, Systems, Molecular Biology laboratories has helped students learn about the techniques and the experiments that were carried out in those labs, which also included observing a live experiment on a rat to capture its neural activity. Interaction with different Scientists and PhD students helped to understand more about the concepts of Brain and acquire in depth knowledge in the field of Neuroscience.
Here goes few glimpses of the visit.

Two common throat pathogens (Neisseria meningitidis and Moraxella catarrhalis) found to have undergone similar evolutionary transitions from bacillus to coccus cell shapes.
Attributed to two gene deletion events, this shape change also resulted in a modified peptidoglycan structure - the cell surface molecules which are targeted by our immune systems. Researchers propose that a rounder shape is selected for because it minimizes exposure to immune cells while maintaining cell volume.
