nal skills and strategies. Based on our motto “Knowledge is structured in Consciousness” our band of Senior Members, realised the goal as early as in mid 70’s, to attain the far sighted vision. The members spent all their energies and focused on the beginnings, its uniqueness, contributions, progress and expansion. With the blessings of our Spiritual Guru His Holiness Maharishi Mahesh Yogiji, first MVM school was started in the year 1983. LKG to XII. To develop the holistic approach, the practice of PRANAYAMA, YOGASANA, and TRANSCENDENTAL MEDITATION & SIDDHI is the integral part of the curriculum. MVM Chetpet had a humble beginning with student strength of 75 in 1983, the school made rapid strides in all branches of learning methodologies. The enormous infrastructural facilities introduced during the years, that followed speak about the resources fully utilized in a constructive manner. Gradually, the Institution developed on the wings of success. The collective efforts with quality decision makers, earned a reputation in attaining educational standards. A fine balance between the academics and co-scholastic domain is maintained, with new initiatives and experiments implemented from time to time. The activities of the school is monitored by a forum of the Working Committee Members, to facilitate effective functioning. The school has generated top rankers in Stds. X & XII year after year in Board Examinations. Students actively participate in Olympiads and appear in Merit List. A distinguished mark is also proved in external contests. English Tablet Lab and Mathematics Lab are the new additions. Presently, the School enjoys student strength of 5910 and Staff strength of 232. The Institution is in collaboration with Initiatives for Moral and Cultural Training Foundation (IMCTF) and conducted activities on multitude. The aim is to uphold the rich cultural traditions and inculcate spiritual inclination. The range of activities beyond the class room learning include Personality Development Session, Career Guidance, Enrichment Classes, Special Activity, Service Movements, Life-skills, Counselling and visit to Places of Educational importance. From 2005-2006, enlarging the scope and benefits of education, in providing quality and affordable education has remained the focus. By widening its growth and branching out, establishing group of Institutions in and across the State of Tamil Nadu is yet another history. Beneath the mantle, lies the sheer determination to succeed. A series of branch Institutions is now extended to Eighteen Zones in the State of Tamil Nadu. The Group of Institutions and Associate Schools function within the ambit of Maharishi Vidya Mandir, Chetpet, Chennai. In the academic year 2014-2015, Maharishi Vidya Mandir, was set up at Ingur Village, Perundurai Taluk, Erode District, to provide purpose and direction, in accordance with the principles of Maharishi Vidya Mandir, Chetpet, Chennai.
