A festive Traditional Cake Mixing and MOU Signing Ceremony was organised by the Department of Hotel Management & Nutrition and Dietetics as part of the Christmas celebrations held on 12th November 2025 at 11:00 am. The occasion embraced the true spirit of the season, filled with joy, warmth, and togetherness. Mr. John Ashok Varadharajan, Vice Chairman of the Roever Group of Institutions, along with Chief guests Mr. T. Kalai and Chef T. Saravana Babu from Mount Pico Resort, Yercaud, graced the occasion with their distinguished presence. As part of this collaboration, a motivational talk titled "Dream, Dare, Do" was organized for the students of Bon Secours College. The talk was delivered by Captain.P.Praveen Perumal from Thanthai Hans Roever College (Autonomous ). His inspiring messages encouraged students to dream big, dare to face challenges, and take bold steps to achieve success in their personal and professional lives.

After the Session, Interactive Games were Conducted for Students Two interactive team games were organized. These activities were designed to promote teamwork, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills among the participants .Total Teams Participated 19 The event witnessed enthusiastic participation and spirited competition from all teams.

The Department of Computer Applications and the Department of Computer Science, Thanthai Hans Roever College (Autonomous), Perambalur, jointly organized a One Day Workshop on Internet of Things (IoT) on 30th September 2025 at 10:00 a.m. in the AVE Hall. The event was held under the guidance of Dr. V. Poongodi, Head of the Department of Computer Applications, along with Dr. S. Manimaran, Dean of Science, and Dr. S. Sivakumar, Vice-Principal.
The workshop commenced with the Presidential Address delivered by Dr. K. Varadharaajen, Founder and Chairman, Roever Group of Institutions, Perambalur. In his address, he emphasized the importance of IoT in shaping the future of technology and its applications in solving real-world problems.
The Felicitation Address was given by Dr. K. Ravichandran, Principal, Thanthai Hans Roever College (Autonomous), Perambalur. He motivated the students to actively engage in emerging technologies like IoT and to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical skills.
The Chief Guest Address was delivered by Mr. Gopalakrishnan, Manager, Galwin Technology, Trichy. He shared valuable insights on IoT concepts, applications, and future scope in industries. He also highlighted how IoT is transforming everyday life by connecting devices and automating processes.
More than 500 students enthusiastically participated in the workshop, which was jointly organized by the Departments of Computer Applications and Computer Science. During the technical session, students witnessed an impressive live demonstration of an IoT-based safety kit developed to detect potential landslides and prevent accidents in hilly regions. The innovative device is designed to sense the presence of water and emit a beep alert, thereby providing early warning and helping to prevent incidents caused by falling stones from mountain slopes.
An MOC was presented by Sowmiya S, II MCA student. The session concluded with a Vote of Thanks delivered by Gopinathan S, II MCA student, who expressed gratitude to the management, faculty, and participants.
In his address, the Vice-Principal advised students to make the most of their time by spending 6 hours productively in college, 10 hours at home for preparation, and 8 hours for proper rest.
The workshop was highly informative and hands-on, helping students understand how IoT technology can be applied in real-world scenarios to solve critical issues and innovate for a smarter future.

The Department of Physical Education organized the Intercollegiate Football Tournament from 27th to 29th September 2025, with nine teams participating in the event. The tournament was inaugurated by Dr. K. Varadarajan, Founder and Chairman of the Roever Group of Institutions, in the presence of Mr. John Ashok Varadarajan, Vice-Chairman, and Dr. K. Ravichandran, Principal, who warmly welcomed the gathering.
The tournament, conducted for men’s teams, witnessed enthusiastic participation that not only showcased athletic excellence but also fostered fellowship and sportsmanship among students from various institutions. To ensure fairness and professionalism, referees from the Football Association were invited to officiate the matches.
The valedictory session was graced by Dr. J. Kannan, Head of the Department of Physical Education, who presented medals and certificates to the winners and delivered the Vote of Thanks.
Overall, the tournament was a resounding success, reflecting the Department of Physical Education’s commitment to promoting sports, teamwork, and inter-institutional bonding.

The PG and Research Department of Microbiology, Thanthai Hans Roever College (Autonomous) organized International icroorganism Day – 2025 on 25.09.2025 at the Department Laboratory, within the college campus. The program was inaugurated by Dr. K. Varatharajan, Secretary, and Mr. John Ashok Varatharajan, Joint Secretary of the college. Dr. K. Ravichandran, Principal, Dr. S. Sivakumar, Vice-Principal, and Dr. S. Manimaran, Dean of Science delivered felicitation addresses. The welcome address was delivered by Dr. R. Anburaj, Head, and Department of Microbiology.
On this occasion, the Principal, Vice-Principal, and Head of the Department addressed the students on the importance of microorganisms in medicine, agriculture, genetics, food production, and bio-fertilizer development. They also highlighted the contributions and achievements of eminent scientists in the field of Microbiology. As part of the celebration, various competitions such as Rangoli, Petri Art, Quiz, Science Toon, Poster Presentation, and Face Painting were conducted under the theme “Microorganisms and Their Role in the Environment.” Students of the department actively participated in all events, and prizes were distributed to the winners. The program was well-organized with the dedicated efforts of the Head of the Department, faculty members, and the enthusiastic involvement of the students.

On behalf of PG& Research Department of Commerce, has successfully organised A Two Day National Level Workshop in collaboration with the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR), on “Contemporary Approaches to Advanced Research Methodology in Social Sciences and Commerce”on 25.09.2025 and 26.09.2025 at 10.00 am in A.V.E.Hall. The Workshop was presided over by Dr. K. Varadharaajen, Chairman, Roever Group of Institutions, delivered the Presidential Address, Principal Dr.K.Ravichandran delivered the Felicitation Address, Vice Principal Dr.S.Sivakumar, Dean of Science Dr.S.Manimaran, Dean of Languages Dr.K.Tamilmaran, Dean of Arts Dr.K.Maruthadurai and IQAC Coordinator Dr.J.A.A.Jerald graced the event. The Eminent resource persons from different states presented their lectures.

On Day - I (25.09.2025): Prof. Sudhakar Reddy, Director, Ministry of Education Govt.of India, Hyderabad, ICSSR and Dr. R.Sangeetha, Professor, CHRIST University, Bengaluru and Dr. Rajendran, Associate Professor, Annamalai University, Chidambaram delivered insightful thoughts on Artificial Intelligence.

On Day - II (26.09.2025): Dr.S.Sangeetha Head and Assistant Professor of Economics A.V.V.M. Sri Pushpam College, Poondi, Thanjavur. And Dr. M.Vasan, Assistant Professor National College (Aided), Trichy and Dr. M.Prathapan, Associate Professor, Vels Institute of Advanced studies, (VISTAS) Chennai. has delivered their valuable insights on Research Methodology.

The welcome address was delivered by Dr.P.Devi Convenor and Dr.K.Maruthadurai, Co-Convenor, Head and Dean of Arts, PG & Research Department of Commerce Assisted in overall activities of this workshop. Followed by this Ms.R.Sheela Jerusha started the workshop with portion of reading from the Bible and introduced the resource persons.

Finally the end of the workshop there was a valedictory function. The certificates were distributed by resource persons and Dr. M Devaki Associate Professor delivered the Vote of Thanks.The arrangements of the Workshop were skilfully managed by the Department Professors Dr.M.S.Senthilkumar, Ms.P.Prashanth, Ms.G.Sathiya, Ms.S.Maria, Ms.K.Kalaivani and Ms.G.Meena Ms.S.Kavitha ensuring the workshop’s success. Around 276 Students including Research Scholars from 25 Colleges in various districts and also from Chennai City were participated and benefited by this Workshop.
