*पूर्व–भाषा दिवस समारोह २०२६*
*सरदार रणबहादुर गुरुङ सरकारी वरिष्ठ माध्यमिक विद्यालय, कलुक, पश्चिम सिक्किम।*

भाषा केवल विचार र भाव अभिव्यक्त गर्ने माध्यम मात्र होइन; यो हाम्रो पहिचान, संस्कृति र पुस्तौँदेखि हस्तान्तरण हुँदै आएको अमूल्य सम्पदा पनि हो।

यही भावनालाई आत्मसात् गर्दै सरदार रणबहादुर गुरुङ सरकारी वरिष्ठ माध्यमिक विद्यालय,
कलुकमा ३५औँ पूर्व–भाषा दिवस समारोह २०२६ विविध साहित्यिक तथा सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रमका साथ सम्पन्न भयो।
विद्यालयका प्राचार्य श्रीमान् दुर्गा मणि प्रधानको अध्यक्षतामा सम्पन्न समारोहको सञ्चालन नेपाली विषयका स्नातकोत्तर शिक्षक हरिभक्त शर्माले गर्नुभएको थियो। यस अवसरमा कक्षा १० मा नेपाली विषयमा उत्कृष्ट अङ्क प्राप्त गर्ने विद्यार्थीहरू रोशनी राई र अस्वी राईलाई मुख्य अतिथिका रूपमा सहभागी गराइएको थियो।
कार्यक्रमको शुभारम्भ दीप प्रज्ज्वलनबाट गरिएको थियो। लेप्चा भाषाका शिक्षकद्वारा स्वागत सम्बोधन प्रस्तुत गरिएको थियो भने नेपाली भाषा मान्यता दिवसको सन्दर्भमा नेपाली भाषा तथा मातृभाषाको महत्त्व, संरक्षण र संवर्द्धनका विषयमा संक्षिप्त सम्बोधन गरिएको थियो।
समारोहको प्रमुख अङ्गका रूपमा कविता वाचन प्रतियोगिता आयोजना गरिएको थियो। प्रतियोगितामा स्वरचित नेपाली कविता तथा पाठ्यपुस्तक एवं अन्य स्रष्टाका कविताको वाचन गरी विद्यार्थीहरूले आफ्नो सिर्जनशीलता, वाचनकला तथा भाषिक क्षमता प्रस्तुत गरेका थिए। प्रतियोगिताको मूल्याङ्कनका लागि शिक्षिका मालती तामाङ, शिक्षिका अम्बिका शर्मा तथा शिक्षिका पूर्णिमाया शर्मा निर्णायक मण्डलीका रूपमा सहभागी हुनुभएको थियो। निर्णायक मण्डलीको मूल्याङ्कनका आधारमा उत्कृष्ट प्रस्तुतिहरूलाई प्रथम, द्वितीय तथा तृतीय स्थान प्रदान गरिएको थियो।
यसका अतिरिक्त, गुरुङ, लेप्चा तथा लिम्बू भाषाका कविता वाचनका साथै नेपाली गीतलगायतका सांस्कृतिक प्रस्तुतिहरूले समारोहलाई अझ जीवन्त र बहुरङ्गी बनाएका थिए। विभिन्न मातृभाषामा प्रस्तुत साहित्यिक तथा सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रमहरूले विद्यालयमा विद्यमान भाषिक एवं सांस्कृतिक विविधतालाई सुन्दर ढङ्गले उजागर गर्दै मातृभाषाप्रतिको सम्मान र संरक्षणको सन्देश प्रवाह गरेका थिए।
समारोहको अन्त्यमा उत्कृष्ट प्रतिभागीहरूलाई प्रमाणपत्र तथा पुरस्कार वितरण गरिएको थियो। कार्यक्रमका अध्यक्ष श्रीमान् दुर्गा मणि प्रधानबाट अध्यक्षीय सम्बोधन प्रस्तुत गरिएको थियो भने शिक्षक कर्मा तोपदेन भोटियाबाट धन्यवाद ज्ञापन गरिएको थियो।
समग्रमा, ३५औँ पूर्व–भाषा दिवस समारोह २०२६ विद्यार्थीहरूको साहित्यिक प्रतिभा प्रस्फुटन, भाषिक चेतनाको अभिवृद्धि तथा नेपाली भाषा, मातृभाषा र बहुभाषिक सांस्कृतिक पहिचानप्रतिको सम्मान अभिव्यक्त गर्ने एक सार्थक र स्मरणीय समारोहका रूपमा सम्पन्न भयो।
भाषा हाम्रो पहिचान हो,
मातृभाषा हाम्रो मौलिक सम्पदा हो।

🇮🇳 A Day of Remembrance, Learning & Celebration 🇮🇳
Some days are not merely celebrated—they are remembered, experienced and lived.
Today, the school family came together for a special tribute to the brave freedom fighters of India, turning another No Book Day into a vibrant journey through the pages of our glorious past—the pain of colonial oppression, the courage of our people and the long, inspiring struggle for freedom.
Hosted beautifully by Mr Sanjay Rai and Ms Namrata Tamang, the day unfolded with a wonderful array of activities—Inter-Block Rangoli Competition, Notice Board Competition on “India’s Struggle for Freedom”, Inter-House Integration Song Competition, Fashion Show, Inter-House Quiz Contest and Integration Dance by our little ones.
Adding depth to the occasion, Master Srijal Gurung of Class XI (Humanities) and Miss Khusbu Gurung of Class IX B addressed the gathering, sharing thoughtful reflections on India’s Struggle for Freedom and reminding everyone of the immense sacrifices that brought us the freedom we cherish today.
In his address, the Principal highlighted the responsibility of every Indian in shaping the nation’s journey towards Viksit Bharat 2047. He reminded the students that the India of tomorrow will be built not only through dreams, but through responsibility, integrity, hard work, innovation and a deep sense of commitment towards the nation.
Fifteen members of our staff served as Special Guests for the day, adding a special warmth and dignity to the celebrations.
The spirit of the day had begun earlier with exciting sporting events—Futsal, Badminton and Table Tennis—with the deserving winners being felicitated during the evening Award Ceremony. 🏆
The programme was gracefully set in motion with the welcome address by Ms Susila Gurung, while Ms Namrata Gurung delivered the vote of thanks.
From the colours of the rangoli to the rhythm of integration, from the questions of the quiz to the cheers of the sporting arena, today was a beautiful reminder that education is not confined to books—it lives in our history, our culture, our unity and our shared experiences.

A promise for Viksit Bharat 2047. 🇮🇳

🧮 Building Number Sense, One Bead at a Time! 🌱
The Abacus Session has commenced for our young learners at the Foundational and Preparatory Levels, making Mathematics more engaging, interactive and joyful.
Through colourful beads and hands-on learning, our little learners are developing number sense, concentration, memory and mental calculation skills while enjoying the learning process.
The session was conducted under the supervision of the Principal and dedicated Staff Members, ensuring that every child gets the right guidance and encouragement.

The whole school would like to congratulate Miss Pundi Lepcha and miss Renamit lepcha of class 11 (science) for securing 1st and 4th position respectively participating in Tendong Lho Rumfaat District level essay writing competition held on 7th August at Daramdin,West Sikkim.

We are very thankful to Renjyong Mutanchi Rong (Sikkim Lepcha Association) West Branch for giving students this opportunity to participate in the said competition.

As part of the PM SHRI initiative towards promoting menstrual hygiene and ensuring the well-being of girl students, sanitary pads were distributed to the students of the school. The initiative aimed to create awareness about menstrual health, hygiene, and the importance of maintaining proper personal care.

The distribution programme also encouraged students to discuss menstrual health without hesitation and adopt safe and hygienic practices. The school appreciated this thoughtful initiative, which contributes towards creating a healthy, confident, and supportive environment for girl students.
