Wadihuda Educational Institution, run by Ta'aleemul Islam Trust, Kerala, is the one educational institution in the region providing education on a developmental approach to the students on solid grounds of values and culture. Since then, it has been undertaking charitable and educational activities all around the State. The dream began taking life when a boarding school was started with a handful
of students in 1980, in a rented residential building. In 1981, the main building was constructed and the institution was officially inaugurated. Subsequently, a nursery was started in this building, and the boarding madrassa shifted to the permanent building. Before a couple of years lapsed, Islamic Arts and Science College was introduced which offered couses in Islamic and Arts Sciences as per the curriculum prescribed by the Calicut University. Later, a recognised L. P.(Lower Primary) School was started which began its course from the academic year 1984- 85. A fleet of vehicles were introduced for the transportation of the students in the same year. Later on, Upper Primary and High School courses were introduced in the same compound. Higher secondary courses were started in 2006-07 which called for extensive facilities. In 1986, Women’s Islamic College was started which offered a consolidated curriculum of Afzal-ul-ulama with the formal X Class syllabus. A Women’s Hostel was started in 1988 to provide hostel facilities for the students coming from far off places. Later on, this facility was extended to L. P and other students(boys and girls) of the institutions run by the Trust. Our Industrial Training Center had begun operating early from 1987, and was recognised only in 1991, which then provided courses in Hindi Stenography and Electronic Mechanic. Later on, a number of other trades like Mechanic(Motor Vehicle) and Draughtsman (Civil) were introduced. The Training Center now looks forward to providing trades in Interior and Fashion Designing in the coming years. Extensive workshop facilities were also made available in the Industrial Training Center. Al- Huda Orphan’s Care Home was started in 1988 with the financial support of Baithu-Zakath, Kuwait. Starting with only 50 wards, the Orphan’s Care Home now provides home for more than 500 children in the region. Later in 1992, a separate English medium school was started affiliated to the CBSE, New Delhi. This was the first English medium school recognised by the Central Board in the region. The School, now called Progressive Senior Secondary School is the only one of its kind in the District providing value based education from I Std to XII Std. During the 27 years of toiling in the sun, we have begun realising our goals. But there still remains miles to go before we recline. The support of the people, with the blessing of Almighty is inevitable in realising our endeavours. May Lord Bless us all and realise our efforts in His Final Judgement.
