Recently, it was reported that Malaysia is currently home to 10 international university branch campuses – the highest in Asia.
We are home to five British universities (Nottingham, Reading, Newcastle, Southampton and the newest, Heriot-Watt) – the largest battalion outside of Great Britain. Also here are universities from Australia (Monash, Swinburne and Curtin), China (Xiamen – the first Chinese university approved to open overseas) and Singapore (Raffles). HELP University was established in 1986 and is today one of the leading private universities in Malaysia. The university offers a wide selection of courses within social sciences and humanities at both bachelor and master level. Students wishing to pursue courses or full degrees at master level, can enroll at Elm Graduate School, which is part of HELP.
LOCATION
HELP has three campuses centrally located in Malaysia’s vibrant capital, Kuala Lumpur. The main campus is located in the attractive neighborhood of Damansara Heights. Damansara Heights is often referred to as Kuala Lumpur’s Beverly Hills and attracts some of the country’s most affluent residents. Fortune 500 companies including Siemens, Hewlett-Packard, Ogilvy and Shell also have addresses here. HELP is currently constructing a brand new eco-friendly campus, which is expected to be ready for students coming in the fall of 2014.
Malaysia Work Study Abroad Program
The Malaysia Work Study Abroad program is a 4000-level management course that includes an upaid internship experience, in addition to the academic assignments. Students gain international experience in this shorter alternative to a full semester experience abroad.
The program objective is to expose students to a different culture and help them practice cross-cultural management skills while giving them work experience internationally.
The program began in 1998 and student placement opportunities continue to grow. Previous students have had unpaid internships with such companies as X-Prologistices Sdn. Bhd., American Express, Apex Communications, Champion Photochemistry Sdn.Bhd., Scotiabank, Perfection (English language Academy), PPB Oil Palms, Digi Telecommunications, SCOMI, Mercy Malaysia, Malaysia Canada Business Council, Affin Money Brokers, Maestro Capital, KLPAC and Kavner Sdn. Bhd.

University of Nottingham, Malaysia
Due to the new Ministry of Higher Education and Malaysian Immigration recent ruling, all International students planning to study in Malaysia MUST apply for the approval to study in Malaysia BEFORE entering Malaysia. Failure to obtain this approval letter on time, International students will not be allowed to enter Malaysia and register with the University.
The University will not be liable for any action taken by the Malaysian Immigration Authorities if you do not adhere to this new ruling.Application Fee
The University charges an application fee of RM200 for international students. All students must complete and attach the application fee form (pdf) as well as proof of payment. This applies to both paper and online applications.
