NEET Counselling 2018 for 15% AIQ Seats

The DGHS, on behalf of the MCC, will conduct the counselling for admission to 15% AIQ seats in Government medical and dental colleges of India. All Government medical/dental colleges in India (except those in the state of Jammu & Kashmir) have surrendered 15% of their total MBBS/BDS seats for AIQ on which all candidates who qualify NEET 2018 are eligible to participate. AIQ counselling of NEET 2018 will be conducted in two rounds in online mode. The first round of AIQ counselling of NEET will be conducted from June 12 to June 24, 2018, and second AIQ counselling round will be conducted between July 6 to July 22, 2018.



From this year on, the states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana have joined other states in the provision of 15% of their MBBS/BDS seats of government medical/dental colleges through AIQ counselling conducted by MCC. All candidates (except those belonging to J&K, unless they filled the declaration form which appears at the time of filling NEET application form) who will qualify NEET 2018 by scoring minimum required percentile, will be eligible for AIQ admissions.

For the candidates to qualify for the admission in the IITs/NITs/IIITs and such other CFTIs whose admissions are based on the JEE (Advanced)/JEE(Main) ranks, they should have secured at least 75% marks in the 12th class examination, or be in the top 20 percentile in the 12th class examination conducted by the respective Boards. For SC/ST students the qualifying marks would be 65% in the 12th class examination.
