..................................Happy Independence Day...........Seminarians........................................................This is Martyr's Memorial located in Patna. It is a life-size statue of 7 brave young men from Bihar who sacrificed their lives in the Quit India movement(August 1942), while hoisting the national flag on the Secretariat building. A;; these boys were studying in 9th and 10th std. and their age was 15-16 years old.
Their names are:
1 Umakant Prasad Sinha - Ram Mohan Roy Seminary,class IX
2 Ramanand Singh - Ram Mohan Roy Seminary, class IX
3 Satish Prasad Jha - Patna Collegiate School, class X
4 Jagatpati Kumar - Bihar National College, 2nd year
5 Devipada Choudhry - Miller High English School, class IX
6 Rajendra Singh - Patna High English School, matric class
7 Ramgovind Singh - Punpun High English School, matric class IX....
