Hon’ble Union Minister for Education, Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, will chair the Consultation with Stakeholders on .0 titled ‘Reimagining Samagra Shiksha’ at Sushma Swaraj Bhawan, Pravasi Bharatiya Kendra, New Delhi today.

The meeting will be graced by Hon’ble Minister of State for Education and Minister of State (I/C) for Skill Development & Entrepreneurship , Shri Jayant Singh. The event will also witness the presence of Secretary, Department of School Education & Literacy (DoSEL), Shri Sanjay Kumar, Secretary, Department of Higher Education, Shri Vineet Joshi, along with senior officials of the Ministry.

The day-long consultation will bring together State Education Secretaries, State Project Directors and education experts for in-depth deliberations on the strategic framework for the restructuring and extension of the Samagra Shiksha Scheme.

Kaushal Bodh, developed by National Council of Educational Research and Training - NCERT, offers structured activities linked to life forms, machines and materials and human services, helping students connect classroom learning with real-life contexts. Now, exposure to skill education starts from Middle School onwards.

Samagra Shiksha promotes this progressive initiative for students of Classes VI to VIII by introducing learners to the world of work through hands-on and activity-based learning.

This early engagement fosters curiosity, teamwork and problem-solving skills while reinforcing the value and dignity of all forms of work. Such exposure enables students to connect classroom learning with real life, make informed subject and career choices in the later stages of education.
