Why Do We Use 22/7 for Pi?

Ever wondered why we use 22/7 as the value of π (pi)? 🤔
Here’s a fun and educational infographic created by Loreto Public School to help students understand the mystery behind this magical number!

🔵 Did You Know?

π (pi) is the ratio of a circle’s circumference to its diameter.

Its real value is 3.1415926535…, an irrational number that never ends!

But since 22/7 ≈ 3.142857, it’s an easy and close approximation used in most school calculations.

Mathematicians even discovered a more precise fraction: 355/113 = 3.1415929, accurate to six decimal places!
