Playland School wishes you a very Happy Eid-Ul- Adah!
Eid-Ul-Adah is also known as the ‘Festival
Of Sacrifice’. It honors the willingness of Ibrahim to sacrifice his son Ishmael as an act of obedience to Gods command. But before he could sacrifice his son, God provided a lamb for the sacrifice instead.
Generally during this festival, animals are sacrificed and one third of their meat is consumed by the family offering the sacrifice while the rest is distributed to the poor and the needy. Sweets and gifts are given.
This day is also known as Big Eid or the Greater Eid.
