PG Regulation:

The M.Tech Regulations (2026–27) of Bihar Engineering University (BEU), Patna established the academic framework for postgraduate engineering programmes from the 2026–27 session onward.

The curriculum is based on a credit-based structure including theory, laboratory/design courses, and a mandatory research dissertation in the 3rd and 4th semesters.

Students must also complete at least one NPTEL course during the first year, register every semester, and maintain a minimum of 75% attendance.

A 7-point grading system (A+ to F) used to calculate SGPA and CGPA. Students are promoted to the next semester irrespective of CGPA, with provisions for supplementary examinations for F, I, or X grades.

For M.Tech degree, all prescribed credits must be completed with at least a ‘P’ grade in every subject while maintaining academic discipline and compliance with university examination rules.

UG Regulations:

The Undergraduate Regulations 2026–27 of Bihar Engineering University (BEU), Patna govern the academic structure, admission, examination, and degree requirements for B.Tech and B.Arch programs from the 2026–27 session onward.

The curriculum follows a credit-based system with lecture, tutorial, and practical components, including mandatory internships, at least two NPTEL courses (3rd–6th semester), a final-year major project, and a seminar. Students must register every semester, maintain a minimum of 75% attendance, and pass subjects with at least 35% marks under a system where Internal Assessment and End Semester Examination together determine results.

A 7-point grading scale (A+ to F) is used to calculate SGPA and CGPA, and students are promoted to the next semester irrespective of CGPA, with opportunities for supplementary examinations for failed or incomplete subjects.

To graduate, students must complete all prescribed credits with a minimum ‘P’ grade in every subject, while strict rules are in place to address unfair means during examinations.

बिहार अभियंत्रण विश्वविद्यालय (BEU), पटना ने उभरती प्रौद्योगिकियों में कौशल विकास एवं अपस्किलिंग को बढ़ावा देने के उद्देश्य से नैसकॉम / आईटी–आईटीईएस सेक्टर स्किल्स काउंसिल (SSC nasscom) के साथ फ्यूचरस्किल्स प्राइम कार्यक्रम के अंतर्गत एक समझौता ज्ञापन (MoU) पर हस्ताक्षर किए। फ्यूचरस्किल्स प्राइम भारत सरकार द्वारा समर्थित एक राष्ट्रीय कौशल विकास मंच है।

इस समझौता ज्ञापन पर बिहार अभियंत्रण विश्वविद्यालय, पटना की ओर से डॉ. प्रदीप कुमार (सेवानिवृत्त आईएएस), कुलसचिव तथा आईटी–आईटीईएस सेक्टर स्किल्स काउंसिल (SSC nasscom) की ओर से डॉ. उपमिथ सिंह, मुख्य परिचालन अधिकारी ने हस्ताक्षर किए। हस्ताक्षर समारोह माननीय मंत्री श्री सुनील कुमार, सचिव डॉ. प्रतिमा तथा निदेशक श्री अहमद महमूद, विज्ञान, प्रावैधिक एवं तकनीकी शिक्षा विभाग, बिहार सरकार की गरिमामयी उपस्थिति में सम्पन्न हुआ। इस अवसर पर प्रो. सुरेश कांत वर्मा, कुलपति, डॉ. बिजेन्द्र कुमार, परीक्षा नियंत्रक एवं विश्वविद्यालय के अन्य वरिष्ठ अधिकारी भी उपस्थित रहे।

समारोह को संबोधित करते हुए माननीय मंत्री, विज्ञान, प्रावैधिक एवं तकनीकी शिक्षा विभाग, बिहार सरकार ने कहा कि इस समझौता ज्ञापन के अंतर्गत बिहार अभियंत्रण विश्वविद्यालय के छात्र, शिक्षक एवं कर्मचारी फ्यूचरस्किल्स प्राइम मंच से जुड़ेंगे, जिससे उन्हें उभरती प्रौद्योगिकियों एवं व्यावसायिक कौशलों से संबंधित उद्योग-आधारित अध्ययन सामग्री, मूल्यांकन, प्रमाणन तथा डिजिटल बैजिंग की सुविधाएँ प्राप्त होंगी।

सचिव, विज्ञान, प्रावैधिक एवं तकनीकी शिक्षा विभाग, बिहार सरकार ने कहा कि यह सहयोग अल्पकालिक जागरूकता कार्यक्रमों, फाउंडेशन कोर्स तथा डीप-स्किलिंग पहलों के माध्यम से स्व-अध्ययन एवं मिश्रित शिक्षण (ब्लेंडेड लर्निंग) मॉडल को प्रोत्साहित करेगा, जिससे आईटी–आईटीईएस क्षेत्र में डिजिटल दक्षता एवं रोजगार-क्षमता में उल्लेखनीय वृद्धि होगी। स्किल्स पासपोर्ट, स्किल्स वॉलेट तथा डिजिटल बैज जैसे नवाचारी फीचर शिक्षार्थियों की प्रगति को ट्रैक एवं प्रमाणित करने में सहायक होंगे।

प्रो. सुरेश कांत वर्मा, कुलपति, बिहार अभियंत्रण विश्वविद्यालय, पटना ने कहा कि यह समझौता ज्ञापन गैर-व्यावसायिक प्रकृति का है तथा तीन वर्षों की अवधि के लिए वैध रहेगा, जिससे कौशल विकास एवं अपस्किलिंग के क्षेत्र में दीर्घकालिक सहयोग का मार्ग प्रशस्त होगा।

यह पहल भविष्य के लिए तैयार डिजिटल कार्यबल के निर्माण की राष्ट्रीय परिकल्पना के अनुरूप है तथा क्षमता निर्माण, डिजिटल परिवर्तन एवं उद्योग–शैक्षणिक सहयोग के प्रति बिहार अभियंत्रण विश्वविद्यालय की प्रतिबद्धता को और सुदृढ़ करती है।
