Shape: Heart-shaped (cordate) with a very long, pointed "drip tip".
Texture: Thin, glossy, and rustles loudly in the breeze.
Function: The drip tip helps direct rainwater to the roots, aiding water conservation.
Medicinal Properties & Uses (Ayurveda)
Respiratory: Helps with asthma, bronchitis, and coughs by relaxing airways and clearing mucus; used as tea or juice.
Skin: Antiseptic, used for wounds, eczema, itching, and can lighten pigmentation.
