The Department of Education, Patna Women's College Autonomous, organized a Summer Workshop on Online Tools for Effective Teaching & Learning for B.Ed. students (Session 2025-27) from 25th May to 6th June 2026 through online mode.
The sessions covered a wide range of topics including Google Docs and Google Forms by Dr. Prabhas Ranjan, Hindi Typing by Dr. Nitu Chauhan, and Online Evaluation Tools such as Kahoot and Wayground by Ms. Swati Shilpi. Dr. Rashmi Sinha, Dr. Madhumita, and Dr. Prabhas Ranjan jointly conducted sessions on AI Tools, introducing students to the educational use of artificial intelligence.
Further sessions by Dr. Madhumita on Introduction to Animation and by Dr. Rashmi Sinha on Creating GIFs and Story Making enhanced students’ creative and digital presentation skills.
The workshop concluded with students preparing and presenting e-content using various online tools, making the programme a valuable step toward developing technologically competent educators for 21st-century classrooms.

On the occasion of Biodiversity Day, the Department of Education, Patna Women's College Autonomous, organized a “Campus Flora Walk” on 22nd May 2026 within the college campus.
During the walk, students explored different parts of the campus and photographed a variety of unique plants, flowers, and shrubs. They gained knowledge about the names, features, and medicinal, environmental, and ornamental uses of various plant species found within the campus. The activity concluded with an interactive discussion where students shared their observations and experiences from the walk.

The Department of Education, Patna Women's College Autonomous, through its Social Science Club, organized “Threads of Traditions” on 21st May 2026 to celebrate the World Day for Cultural Diversity.
Students enthusiastically showcased a variety of traditional attire, saree weaves and draping styles representing different regions of India. The event beautifully highlighted the diversity, craftsmanship, and cultural significance of Indian textiles, reflecting the spirit of unity in diversity. Participants confidently presented the uniqueness of various fabrics, weaving traditions, and draping techniques.
The programme was judged by Dr. Rashmi Sinha, Dr. Shubhra, and Ms. Swati Shilpi, faculty members of Patna Women’s College.
The winners of the event were:
First Position: Puja and Sakshi Shree
Second Position: Honey Kumari and Priyanshi Yadav
Third Position: Lovely Dwivedi and Isha Odilo
The event served as a vibrant platform for celebrating cultural diversity and encouraging students to connect with India’s traditional heritage.

The Department of Education, Patna Women's College Autonomous, organized an educational field visit to the College of Arts and Crafts, Patna University, on 8th and 9th May 2026 for Semester II students (2025-27). The visit was guided by Mohan Kumar Sir.
Students attended an interactive session on Graphic Printmaking conducted by Dev Priya, a fourth-year BFA student, who introduced processes such as Relief, Intaglio, Silkscreen, and Lithography. They also visited the Painting Department, where Assistant Professor, Mr. Chandbhushan Srivastava explained the structure and specializations of the BFA programme.
At the Sculpture Department, students observed a live demonstration of sculpture-making on the wheel by Rajneesh, a sixth-semester student, gaining insight into traditional artistic techniques.
The visit provided valuable exposure to various forms of visual arts and concluded with a vote of thanks by Tanya Patel, Prefect of the Department of Education.

On 9th May 2026, Manav Bharti International School organized a grand Literature Fest on the occasion of Rabindranath Tagore’s birth anniversary. The event celebrated literature and creativity through activities such as poetry, drama, and panel discussions.
Students and educators from various institutions participated enthusiastically, making the programme a vibrant tribute to Tagore’s literary and cultural legacy.

Achala Srivastava from the Department of Education, Patna Women's College Autonomous, participated in the panel discussion and secured first prize for her insightful presentation and outstanding performance. Congratulations to all the participants!

On Earth Day, 22nd April 2026, the Department of Education, Patna Women's College Autonomous, launched the “Nurture the Nature” Programme to promote environmental awareness, for the students of session 2025-27.
Under this initiative, each student adopts and nurtures a plant over a two-year period, caring for it and recording its growth within the department.
The programme encourages responsibility and sustainability, creating a green space and reinforcing the message: “One student, one plant, one greener tomorrow.”

The Department of Education, Patna Women's College Autonomous, in collaboration with the Department of Education, Patna University, organized an Inter-House Quiz Competition on 21st April 2026 on the theme “NEP 2020 & Teaching Aptitude.” The event was conducted by teacher educators (interns) for the second semester B. Ed. students of the session 2025-27.
Four teams - Red, Blue, Green, and Yellow House, participated enthusiastically in three rounds conducted by quiz masters Neha Kumari, Priya, and Alok Kumar. The questions covered teaching aptitude, NEP 2020, and quotes from educationists like Herbert Spencer and Swami Vivekanand. The competition ended in a tie between Blue and Green House, followed by a tie-breaker, where Blue House secured first position and Green House stood second. The winners were felicitated by Dr. Madhumita.
