The air of gaiety and festivity engulfed the premises of DPS Patna East with the celebration of its first-ever Annual Function and Fete on 21st December 2022. The theme for the Annual Day is ‘Novato Fiesta—the Beginner’s Party’ as it epitomizes our first step towards the cultural celebration of the session.

The day here at DPS started with the inauguration of the exhibition “Vihaan” to bring forth the innate skills of our creative genius along with promoting scientific attitude and awareness regarding the present and past of humankind, the learners also exhibited the history, present, and culture of Germany through the Art, Science, Humanities and German Exhibitions.

The program commenced with the welcoming of the guests Pro Vice Chairman of DPS Patna East Mr. Amit Prakash, managing trustee Mr. Manish Anand, trustees Mr. Anish Sahu, Ms. Natasha Anand, and Mr. S. P. Singh followed by the lighting of the ceremonial lamp. Our Pro Vice Chairman Mr. Amit Prakash also addressed the audience and shared his thoughts of wisdom on this occasion. Whereafter, our chief guest and guest of honour along with our loving parents were welcomed with the Bharatnatyam inaugural dance. The Principal, Dr. Vidhukesh Vimal welcomed the guests and the gathering and shared his thoughts and the school’s achievements through the Annual Report of the past session. The highlight of the annual day was a musical dance-drama evoking the thought of Chief Seattle ‘The earth does not belong to us, we belong to earth’, wherein the junior students from classes Nursery to 4 showcased their talent to awaken the conscience of the audience.

As Christmas is around the corner, it seeks a carnival and this leads us to Fete. While the Junior group of students were engaged in rocking the stage, the Senior students had shown their extraordinary talent to organize the series of exhibitions and annual fete with plenty of stalls for various games, entertainment, and food. Many of our children were involved in running these stalls very efficiently by putting their heart and soul into it as well as the music department along with the choir group put the stage on fire with their energetic and powerpack performance.

The various events happening throughout the day were immaculately woven into a kaleidoscopic tapestry with the threads of diligence and determination of the students and staff culminating into a grand spectacle. It was an occasion of celebration, feast, and festivity.
