What could be most potent weapon in hand of an woman against her husband and other family member?
1. 498A IPC
2. protection order against domestic violence under protection of women from domestic Violence Act,2005
3.Residence order in same household
4. Many others like custody of child
I have often come across newly married couples are separating from each other and most of cases wives are withdrawing from society of husband and years later filing cases under different act. Some provision are civil whereas some are criminal in nature,
mere court summons to elderly parents bring them near heart attack. Though elderly parents get some relief under maintenance of parents act but court are titled towards daughter in law. Isn't pathetic it is?
Kindly put forth your ideas, what could be changed in provisions, practically police do not understand precedents as law in country, they only understands provisions of statute.
