The three-hour academic engagement featured two expert lectures on Academic Writing Using AI Tools and Research Ethics, Predatory Publication & Responsible Conduct of Research, equipping faculty members with insights to strengthen responsible and effective research practices.

A proud moment for Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology as the research paper “Act-Exo-Rehab: An Adaptive Active Exoskeleton for Upper Limb Rehabilitation in Real-Time Environments” has been accepted for publication in Scientific Reports (SCI Journal), published by Springer Nature with an Impact Factor of 3.9.

The research presents an adaptive active exoskeleton designed to enhance upper-limb rehabilitation through intelligent, real-time robotic assistance, contributing to the future of assistive robotics and rehabilitation technologies.

A proud moment for the Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology as a research paper by our students, under the guidance of our faculty and in international collaboration with The University of Queensland, has been accepted at IEEE RoMAN 2026, one of the world’s leading conferences in robotics and human-robot interaction.

Research Title:
Lightweight Depth-Based Locomotion Framework for Embedded Biped Robots Using Multi-Zone Ranging Sensor

This work introduces a lightweight, computationally efficient framework that enables reliable locomotion for embedded biped robots using multi-zone ranging sensors-bringing us a step closer to smarter, more adaptive robotic systems.

Congratulations to Prof. Kulvir Singh and Dr. Satwinder Singh on the publication of their review article, Nanocrystalline Oxide Glass-Ceramics: Progress, Prospects and Perspectives, in Progress in Materials Science (Elsevier), one of the world's leading journals in the field with an Impact Factor of 40.

We are proud to share that Shambhvi Sharma, a student of Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology, presented her research at the 25th International Conference on Next Generation Wired/Wireless Networks and Systems (NEW2AN 2025), hosted by Abu Dhabi University.

Her research has also been published in the prestigious Springer LNCS volume, "Internet of Things, Smart Spaces, and Next Generation Networks and Systems" reflecting valuable contributions to the fields of Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, Internet of Things (IoT), and Next Generation Network Systems.
