ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਦੇ ਬਾਬਾ ਬੰਦਾ ਸਿੰਘ ਬਹਾਦਰ ਹੋਸਟਲ (ਲੜਕੇ) ਵੱਲੋਂ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਖੇਤਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਗੌਲਣਯੋਗ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤੀਆਂ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲ਼ੇ ਸਾਬਕਾ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਤਸਵੀਰਾਂ ਇੱਕ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਦੀਵਾਰ ਉੱਤੇ ਸਜਾਈਆਂ ਗਈਆਂ ਹਨ। ਵਾਰਡਨ ਇੰਜ. ਬਿਕਰਮਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਅਤੇ ਡਾ. ਲਾਲ ਚੰਦ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ 'ਅਲੂਮਨੀ ਵਾੱਲ ਆਫ਼ ਫ਼ੇਮ' ਨਾਮਕ ਇਸ ਦੀਵਾਰ ਦਾ ਉਦਘਾਟਨ ਉਪ-ਕੁਲਪਤੀ ਡਾ. ਜਗਦੀਪ ਸਿੰਘ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਡੀਨ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ ਭਲਾਈ ਡਾ. ਮਮਤਾ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ, ਪ੍ਰੋਵੋਸਟ ਡਾ. ਸੁਖਵਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਸਰਾਂ, ਪ੍ਰੋਵੋਸਟ ਡਾ. ਜਗਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਕੌਰ ਅਤੇ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਹੋਸਟਲਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਾਰਡਨ ਹਾਜ਼ਰ ਰਹੇ।

ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਦੇ ਬਾਬਾ ਬੰਦਾ ਸਿੰਘ ਬਹਾਦਰ ਹੋਸਟਲ ਵੱਲੋਂ 'ਹੋਸਟਲ ਨਾਈਟ' ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਕਰਵਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ। ਹੋਸਟਲ ਵਾਰਡਨ ਇੰਜੀ. ਬਿਕਰਮਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਅਤੇ ਡਾ. ਲਾਲ ਚੰਦ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ 'ਯਾਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ਼ ਬਹਾਰਾਂ 2025 ਹੋਸਟਲ ਨਾਈਟ' ਸਿਰਲੇਖ ਤਹਿਤ ਕਰਵਾਏ ਇਸ ਸਮਾਰੋਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਗਭਗ 800 ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਭਾਗ ਲਿਆ। ਇਨੋਵੇਟ ਅਤੇ ਸਟੈਮ ਬਜ਼ਾਰ ਸੰਸਥਾ ਦੇ ਸੀ.ਈ.ਓ ਇੰਜੀ. ਦੀਪਕ ਗਰਗ, ਜੋ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਦੇ ਹੀ ਸਾਬਕਾ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ ਹਨ, ਨੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਮਹਿਮਾਨ ਵਜੋਂ ਸ਼ਿਰਕਤ ਕੀਤੀ। ਡੀਨ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ ਭਲਾਈ ਡਾ. ਮਮਤਾ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ ਨੇ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਮਹਿਮਾਨ ਵਜੋਂ ਸੰਬੋਧਨ ਕੀਤਾ।
The Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Hostel of Punjabi University organized its annual ‘Hostel Night’ programme. Hostel Warden Eng Bikramjeet Singh and Dr. Lal Chand told that around 800 students participated in the grand event titled ‘Yaaran Naal Baharan 2025 – Hostel Night’. Chief Guest for the occasion was Engineer Deepak Garg, CEO of Innovate and Stem Bazzar Organization and an alumnus of Punjabi University.Dean Students’ Welfare Dr. Mamta Sharma graced the event as the Special Guest and addressed the gathering.

ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਵਿਖੇ ਲੋਕ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਾਸਨ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰੋਫ਼ੈਸਰ ਡਾ. ਰਾਜਬੰਸ ਸਿੰਘ ਗਿੱਲ ਨੇ ਡੀਨ, ਅਲੂਮਨੀ ਰਿਲੇਸ਼ਨਜ਼ ਦਾ ਅਹੁਦਾ ਸੰਭਾਲ਼ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਅਹੁਦਾ ਸੰਭਾਲ਼ੇ ਜਾਣ ਮੌਕੇ ਉਪ-ਕੁਲਪਤੀ ਡਾ. ਜਗਦੀਪ ਸਿੰਘ ਅਤੇ ਡੀਨ ਅਕਾਦਮਿਕ ਮਾਮਲੇ ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਜਸਵਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਬਰਾੜ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ ਹੋਰ ਸ਼ਖ਼ਸੀਅਤਾਂ ਵੀ ਹਾਜ਼ਰ ਸਨ। ਜ਼ਿਕਰਯੋਗ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਡਾ. ਰਾਜਬੰਸ ਸਿੰਘ ਗਿੱਲ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਵਿਖੇ ਬਤੌਰ ਡਾਇਰੈਕਟਰ, ਸੈਂਟਰ ਫ਼ਾਰ ਪਬਲਿਕ ਪਾਲਿਸੀ ਐਂਡ ਗਵਰਨੈਂਸ ਵੀ ਕਾਰਜਸ਼ੀਲ ਹਨ।
Dr. Rajbans Singh Gill, Professor, Department of Public Administration, Punjabi University, has taken over the charge of Dean Alumni Relations. Vice Chancellor Dr. Jagdeep Singh, Dean Academic Prof. Jaswinder Singh Brar and other dignitaries were present on the occasion. Dr. Rajbans Singh Gill, is also the Director of the Centre for Public Policy and Governance at the University.

ਉੱਘੇ ਖੋਜੀ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਦਵਾਨ ਡਾ. ਰਤਨ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੱਗੀ ਅੱਜ ਅਕਾਲ ਚਲਾਣਾ ਕਰ ਗਏ ਹਨ। ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਛੋੜੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਡੂੰਘੇ ਦੁੱਖ ਦਾ ਇਜ਼ਹਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।
ਵਾਈਸ ਚਾਂਸਲਰ ਡਾ. ਜਗਦੀਪ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਿੱਘੀ ਸ਼ਰਧਾਂਜਲੀ ਭੇਂਟ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਮੂਹ ਪਾਠਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਦੁੱਖ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਰੀਕ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਅਕਾਦਮਿਕ ਜਗਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਡਾ. ਜੱਗੀ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਪਾਏ ਗਏ ਯੋਗਦਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਸਦੀਆਂ ਤੱਕ ਯਾਦ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਡਾ. ਜੱਗੀ ਜਿਹੀਆਂ ਸ਼ਖ਼ਸੀਅਤਾਂ ਦਾ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਨਾਲ਼ ਜੁੜੇ ਹੋਣਾ ਇਸ ਗੱਲ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਮਾਣ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਦੀ ਵਿਰਾਸਤ ਕਿੰਨੀ ਅਮੀਰ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ।
Eminent researcher and scholar Dr. Rattan Singh Jaggi passed away today. Punjabi University has expressed deep sorrow over his demise.
Vice Chancellor Dr. Jagdeep Singh said that Punjabi University, while paying warm tribute to him, shares the grief of the family and all his readers. He said that the contribution made by Dr. Jaggi in the Punjabi academic world will be remembered for centuries. He said that the association of personalities like Dr. Jaggi with Punjabi University is a testament to how rich the heritage of Punjabi University has been.

ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਦੇ ਖੇਤਰ ਦੀ ਨਾਮਵਰ ਸ਼ਖ਼ਸੀਅਤ ਡਾ. ਜਗਦੀਪ ਸਿੰਘ ਹੋਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ, ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਦੇ ਉਪ-ਕੁਲਪਤੀ ਵਜੋਂ ਅਹੁਦਾ ਸੰਭਾਲ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਦੇ ਸਾਬਕਾ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ ਵੀ ਹਨ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਇਸ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤੀ ’ਤੇ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਸਾਬਕਾ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਮਾਣ ਵਿਚ ਵਾਧਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ। ਡੀਨ, ਅਲੂਮਨੀ ਰਿਲੇਸ਼ਨਜ਼ ਅਤੇ ਸਮੂਹ ਸਾਬਕਾ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਤਰਫ਼ੋਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਿੱਘੀ ਜੀ ਆਇਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਤੇ ਭਵਿੱਖੀ ਗਤੀਵਿਧੀਆਂ ਲਈ ਸ਼ੁੱਭ-ਕਾਮਨਾਵਾਂ।

ਪਿਛਲੇ ਵਰ੍ਹੇ ਹੋਈ ਅਲੂਮਨੀ ਮੀਟ ਵਿਚ ਡਾ. ਜਗਦੀਪ ਸਿੰਘ ਹੋਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਮਿਸਾਲੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤੀਆਂ ਲਈ ਸਨਮਾਨਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ। ਉਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਦੀ ਇਕ ਯਾਦ, ਤਸਵੀਰ ਦੇ ਰੂਪ ਵਿਚ, ਅਸੀਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਂਝੀ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਹਾਂ। ਉਮੀਦ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਡਾ. ਜਗਦੀਪ ਸਿੰਘ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਵਿਚ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਉਚੇਰੇ ਮਿਆਰ ਅਤੇ ਵੱਕਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਹਾਸਿਲ ਕਰੇਗੀ।
