The discussion at Plaksha University, Mohali, organised by GSLC, was centred on “The Privilege of Possibility: Is Innovation Education Creating a New Elite?”
The panel explored whether innovation education, while intended to expand opportunities, could inadvertently favour children with greater access to technology, mentors, networks and resources.
The Headmaster shared that at Yadavindra Public School, innovation is for every child and is an integral part of pedagogy, both in the classroom and beyond. Students are encouraged not only to experiment and create, but also to identify and solve real problems in their homes, neighbourhoods and communities. He emphasised that innovation should not be defined by access to sophisticated technology, but by a child’s curiosity, creativity and ability to find meaningful solutions to everyday problems.
