unit being a part of Joint Morcha ( constitute various left and progressive student organisations), which was formed to carry out movement against the fee hike in Punjabi University, Patiala organised a meeting today for planning of the next phase of movement.
Day_11th (Following programmes were decided)
1.Tuesday : A cultural programme in front of the VC office at night to raise the demands and to mobilize students.
2. Wed: A search campaign will be done to find VC with the name "Search VC March" after which an effigy of VC, DEAN academic affairs and Univ administration will be burnt.

Besides these programmes discussions, seminars will be done among students.

पंजाबी यूनिवर्सिटी, पटियाला में 'फीस वृद्धि विरोधी मोर्चा' का धरना 11वें दिन भी जारी; बुधवार को 'वीसी ढूंढो मार्च' के बाद पुतला फूंका जाएगा।

पंजाबी यूनिवर्सिटी पटियाला में हॉस्टल और कोर्स फीस में हुए भारी वृद्धि और बुनियादी ढांचे की समस्याओं के खिलाफ 'फीस वृद्धि विरोधी मोर्चा' द्वारा वीसी कार्यालय के सामने 12 अगस्त से शुरू किया गया धरना आज 11वें दिन भी पूरे उत्साह के साथ जारी रहा। छात्रों ने दिन-रात धरने पर ही डेरे डाले हुए हैं।

आज फीस वृद्धि विरोधी मोर्चे की बैठक में संघर्ष के आगामी कार्यक्रमों की घोषणा की गई:

- *मंगलवार:* रात को मांगों को उजागर करने और छात्रों को लामबंद करने के लिए वीसी कार्यालय के सामने सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रम आयोजित किया जाएगा।
- *बुधवार:* विश्वविद्यालय परिसर में 'वीसी ढूंढो मार्च' निकाला जाएगा, जिसके बाद वीसी, डीन एकेडमिक अफेयर्स और विश्वविद्यालय प्रशासन की पुतला फूंका जाएगा।

इसके अलावा, आने वाले दिनों में विश्वविद्यालय के अंदर छात्रों की मांगों, शिक्षा के मौलिक अधिकारों और अन्य महत्वपूर्ण मुद्दों पर विचार-विमर्श और सेमिनारों की एक श्रृंखला भी शुरू की जाएगी।

छात्र नेताओं ने स्पष्ट किया कि जब तक फीस वृद्धि पूरी तरह से वापस नहीं ली जाती और बाकी मांगों का समाधान नहीं हो जाता, यह संघर्ष और तीव्र किया जाएगा।

इस बैठक में पंजाब स्टूडेंट्स यूनियन (ललकार) से दिलप्रीत कौर और हरप्रीत सिंह; पंजाब स्टूडेंट्स यूनियन से गुरधियान सिंह और जसप्रीत सिंह; ऑल इंडिया स्टूडेंट्स फेडरेशन से राहुल; स्टूडेंट्स फेडरेशन ऑफ इंडिया से गुरकीरत सिंह और जतिन; पंजाब स्टूडेंट्स फेडरेशन से रविंदर सिंह; डेमोक्रेटिक स्टूडेंट्स ऑर्गनाइजेशन से गुरछिंदर सिंह; अग्रगामी छात्र नौजवान सभा से विकास और हरमन कौर; पीआरएसयू से केशव; ऑल इंडिया डेमोक्रेटिक स्टूडेंट्स ऑर्गनाइजेशन से सौप्तिक पाल और शिवानी शंकर सहित विभिन्न छात्र संगठनों के नेता शामिल थे।

In continuation with the ongoing protest from 7 days against the fee hike, today on 18th aug, night, a march was organised at Punjabi University, Patiala, from the VC’s office to the VC’s residence at around 9 PM. A large number of students participated in the rally, protesting against the massive hike in hostel and course fees and raising other demands.
As the students’ march proceeded towards the VC’s residence, the police forcefully attempted to stop them, during which several students were injured. Despite the police intervention, the students continued their march and eventually reached outside the VC’s residence.
Finally, around midnight, the Dean of Student Welfare was compelled to come before the protesting students and apologise for the police action against the students on the university campus.
