Exhibition on ‘Revival of Traditional Craft’ Showcases Students’ Innovation and Research

The Postgraduate Department of Fashion Designing and Home science successfully organized an exhibition on 17 April,2026 titled “Revival of Traditional Craft,” showcasing the innovative research work of students from M.Sc. Fashion Design and Technology.
The exhibition highlighted the creative endeavors of students, each of whom selected a unique topic focused on reviving traditional crafts. Through extensive research and practical application, the students developed a diverse range of products that reflected the richness and cultural significance of traditional art forms. The event served as a platform to promote awareness and appreciation of indigenous crafts while encouraging sustainable and creative practices among young designers.

On this occasion, Principal Dr. Dharminder Singh Ubha expressed his appreciation for the remarkable efforts and creativity demonstrated by the students. Deputy Principal Dr. Jasleen Kaur motivated the participants and commended their dedication to preserving cultural heritage through innovation. Head of the Department, Dr. Balbir Kaur, congratulated the students on the successful completion of their projects and acknowledged their hard work and commitment.

The exhibition was well-received and stood as a testament to the students’ talent, research capabilities, and dedication to reviving traditional crafts in a contemporary context.
