ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਵਿਖੇ ਸਥਾਪਿਤ 'ਆਨਲਾਈਨ ਐਂਡ ਟੈਲੀਫੋਨਿਕ ਕੌਂਸਲਿੰਗ ਐਂਡ ਟ੍ਰੇਨਿੰਗ ਸੈੱਲ' (ਓ.ਟੀ.ਸੀ.ਟੀ.ਸੀ.) ਵੱਲੋਂ 'ਸਿਲਵਰ ਲਾਈਨਿੰਗ' ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਇੱਕ ਹੈਲਪ-ਲਾਈਨ ਸੇਵਾ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੀ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਆਪਣੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਪਹਿਲੀ 24×7 ਮਨੋਵਿਗਿਆਨਕ ਹੈਲਪਲਾਈਨ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਆਮ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਲਈ ਮਨੋਵਿਗਿਆਨਕ ਮਦਦ ਮੁਹੱਈਆ ਕਰਵਾਏਗੀ। ਉਪ-ਕੁਲਪਤੀ ਡਾ. ਜਗਦੀਪ ਸਿੰਘ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਅੱਜ ਇਸ ਸੇਵਾ ਦਾ ਉਦਘਾਟਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ।
Online and Telephonic Counselling and Training Cell (OTCTC), Punjabi University has launched a helpline service named 'Silver Lining.' This is the first 24×7 psychological helpline of its kind launched by any university in Punjab, which will provide psychological assistance to the general public. The service was inaugurated today by Vice-Chancellor Dr. Jagdeep Singh.

ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਦੁਰਲੱਭ ਦਸਤਾਵੇਜ਼ਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਧੁਨਿਕ ਤਕਨਾਲੋਜੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਸੰਭਾਲਣ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਅਹਿਮ ਪਹਿਲਕਦਮੀ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਡਿਜੀਟਲ ਲਾਇਬ੍ਰੇਰੀ (ਪੀ.ਡੀ.ਐੱਲ.), ਚੰਡੀਗੜ੍ਹ ਨਾਲ ਇੱਕ ਇਕਰਾਰਨਾਮਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਦੋਹੇਂ ਅਦਾਰਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਇਸ ਭਾਈਵਾਲੀ ਤਹਿਤ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਡਿਜੀਟਲ ਲਾਇਬ੍ਰੇਰੀ ਅੰਤਰਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਮਾਪਦੰਡਾਂ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਉੱਚ-ਗੁਣਵੱਤਾ ਵਾਲਾ ਡਿਜੀਟਾਈਜ਼ੇਸ਼ਨ, ਇਮੇਜ ਪ੍ਰੋਸੈਸਿੰਗ, ਮੈਟਾਡੇਟਾ ਤਿਆਰ ਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਓ.ਸੀ.ਆਰ. ਆਦਿ ਦਾ ਕੰਮ ਕਰੇਗੀ। ਉਪ-ਕੁਲਪਤੀ ਡਾ. ਜਗਦੀਪ ਸਿੰਘ ਦੀ ਹਾਜ਼ਰੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਸ ਇਕਰਾਰਨਾਮੇ 'ਤੇ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਰਜਿਸਟਰਾਰ ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਦਵਿੰਦਰ ਪਾਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਸਿੱਧੂ ਅਤੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਡਿਜੀਟਲ ਲਾਇਬ੍ਰੇਰੀ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਆਊਟਰੀਚ ਡਾਇਰੈਕਟਰ ਸ. ਦਲਵੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਦਸਤਖ਼ਤ ਕੀਤੇ।
In a significant initiative to preserve its rare documents using modern technology, Punjabi University has signed an agreement with the Punjab Digital Library (PDL), Chandigarh. Under this partnership between the both institutions, the Punjab Digital Library will carry out high-quality digitization, image processing, metadata creation and OCR (Optical Character Recognition) in accordance with international standards. The agreement was signed in the presence of Vice-Chancellor Dr. Jagdeep Singh by Registrar Prof. Davinder Pal Singh Sidhu on behalf of Punjabi University, and Outreach Director S. Dalvir Singh on behalf of the Punjab Digital Library.

Punjabi University is introducing a 'Ph.D. for Executives' program designed for working professionals, executives, and entrepreneurs across various sectors. The official poster for the program was released today by Vice-Chancellor Dr. Jagdeep Singh. Harjinder Kaur, an alumni of Punjabi University, brought glory to the university and the nation by winning the silver medal in the Women's 69 kg Weightlifting event at the Glasgow Commonwealth Games.
