Multani Mal Modi College, adorning the cultural city of Patiala, is synonymous with academic excellence. Located in the heart of the city, Multani Mal Modi College is a multi-faculty, co-educational Post Graduate institution established by Padam Bhushan, Rai Bahadur Seth Gujjar Mal Modi, in the fond memory of his illustrious father, Rai Bahadur Seth Multani Mal Modi. The foundation stone of the college was laid by Dr. Dharam Vir, ICS, the then Governor of Punjab on Sept 21, 1966 and the first academic session commenced in July 1967. Recently, the College has been placed 5th among Science and 7th among Commerce colleges in Northern India by The Tribune in its survey 'Guide to Best Colleges' (18.4.2014). The magnanimous and enlightened Managing Committee of the college is headed by its visionary Chairman Seth Sudarshan Kumar Modi, who is firmly committed to fulfilling the dreams and ideals of his illustrious grandfather. The College offers UG courses in Commerce, Humanities, Sciences, Computer Science, Business Management and Post Graduate Courses in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Biotechnology, Commerce, Mathematics, IT, Fashion Design and Technology, PGDCA and PG Diploma in Dress Designing and Tailoring. UGC sponsored Add on Courses in Spoken English, Journalism and Mass Communication and Computerized Accounting are also offered. Besides these courses Finishing School Programme that is an exclusively in-house-developed course and aims to enhance the employability quotient of the out-going students is also being started. The college has established itself as a leading educational institution with the student strength of about 3500. The old students of the college - Modiites - occupy positions of eminence in all walks of life which include academicians, doctors, engineers, administrators, scientists, sportspersons, soldiers, artists, social reformers and politicians. In recognition of the all round achievements of the college the UGC has conferred the status of 'College with Potential for Excellence' on the College. The College has made marvellous achievements in academics as well as in sports. This year the college students got 30 Merit positions in University Examinations, including 4 Gold Medals. The College bagged Punjabi University Inter College Overall Sports Championship (Men) for 4 years consecutively and (Women) for two years. Apart from these, advanced research facilities are also available and are being used by the staff and the students. The Department of Fashion Designing Organised Headgear Competition at Multani Mal Modi College, Patiala

Patiala: 25 September 2026

The Department of Fashion Designing, Multani Mal Modi College, Patiala, organised a Headgear Making Competition on 24 September 2026 to provide students with a creative platform to showcase their imagination, design skills and craftsmanship. As many as 36 students participated enthusiastically in the competition and presented a diverse range of innovative headgear designs.

Addressing the students, College Principal Dr. Neeraj Goyal appreciated the efforts of the Department of Fashion Designing and congratulated the participants for their enthusiastic involvement. He emphasised the importance of creativity, innovation and practical learning in developing professional skills among students. He encouraged the students to participate actively in such creative activities and continue to explore new ideas in the field of fashion and design.

Dr. Veenu Jain, Head, Department of Fashion Designing, said that the competition was organised to encourage students to translate their creative concepts into wearable fashion accessories. She highlighted that such hands-on activities help students develop design thinking, technical skills, aesthetic understanding and confidence in presenting their work.

The participants created headgears using a variety of materials, colours, textures and decorative techniques. The competition provided students with an opportunity to experiment with forms and structures while maintaining a balance between creativity and functionality.

The entries were judged by Vice Principal Ms. Jagdeep Kaur, Dr. Bhanvi; and Dr. Vaneet. The creations were evaluated on the basis of novelty, symmetry, presentation and innovation, along with overall aesthetic appeal and craftsmanship.

The competition witnessed keen participation, with students displaying considerable creativity in their designs. Jagdish Kaur, B.Sc. FT III, secured the first prize, Khushpreet Kaur B.Sc. FD I won the second prize, while Meena, M.Sc. I, secured the third prize. Mahek, M.Sc. FD I , Adarshpreet Kaur and Sanya of B.Sc. F.D,. I were awarded consolation prizes for their creative efforts.

The faculty members present on the occasion included Ms. Abhineet Kaur, Mr. Rahul, Ms. Ramit, Ms. Lovely and Ms. Devika. They appreciated the students' enthusiasm and encouraged them to continue developing their creative and practical skills through such experiential learning activities.

The Headgear Making Competition concluded on a positive note, providing students with an enriching opportunity to explore fashion accessories through creativity, experimentation and practical application. The event reflected the Department of Fashion Designing's commitment to fostering innovation, creativity and skill-based learning among students.

ਮੁਲਤਾਨੀ ਮੱਲ ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ, ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਦੇ ਫੈਸ਼ਨ ਡਿਜ਼ਾਈਨਿੰਗ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਨੇ 24 ਸਤੰਬਰ 2026 ਨੂੰ 'ਹੈੱਡ-ਗੀਅਰ' ਬਣਾਉਣ ਦੇ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਦਾ ਆਯੋਜਨ ਕੀਤਾ। ਇਸ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਦਾ ਉਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਕਲਪਨਾ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ, ਡਿਜ਼ਾਈਨਿੰਗ ਦੇ ਹੁਨਰ ਅਤੇ ਕਲਾਤਮਕ ਮੁਹਾਰਤ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਰਚਨਾਤਮਕ ਮੰਚ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕਰਨਾ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ 36 ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਪੂਰੇ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਨਾਲ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਲਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਨਵੀਨਤਾਕਾਰੀ ਹੈੱਡ-ਗੀਅਰ ਡਿਜ਼ਾਈਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਇੱਕ ਵਿਸ਼ਾਲ ਲੜੀ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕੀਤੀ।

ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਬੋਧਨ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾ. ਨੀਰਜ ਗੋਇਲ ਨੇ ਫੈਸ਼ਨ ਡਿਜ਼ਾਈਨਿੰਗ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੇ ਯਤਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਲਾਘਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਭਾਗ ਲੈਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹਪੂਰਵਕ ਸ਼ਮੂਲੀਅਤ ਲਈ ਵਧਾਈ ਦਿੱਤੀ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੇਸ਼ੇਵਰ ਹੁਨਰ ਵਿਕਸਤ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਰਚਨਾਤਮਕਤਾ, ਨਵੀਨਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਹਾਰਕ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਦੇ ਮਹੱਤਵ 'ਤੇ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਜਿਹੀਆਂ ਰਚਨਾਤਮਕ ਗਤੀਵਿਧੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਰਗਰਮੀ ਨਾਲ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਲੈਣ ਅਤੇ ਫੈਸ਼ਨ ਤੇ ਡਿਜ਼ਾਈਨ ਦੇ ਖੇਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਵੇਂ ਵਿਚਾਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਖੋਜ ਜਾਰੀ ਰੱਖਣ ਲਈ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ।

ਫੈਸ਼ਨ ਡਿਜ਼ਾਈਨਿੰਗ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੀ ਮੁਖੀ ਡਾ. ਵੀਨੂ ਜੈਨ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਮੁਕਾਬਲਾ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਰਚਨਾਤਮਕ ਵਿਚਾਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਹਿਨਣਯੋਗ ਫੈਸ਼ਨ ਉਪਕਰਣਾਂ (ਐਕਸੈਸਰੀਜ਼) ਵਿੱਚ ਬਦਲਣ ਲਈ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹਿਤ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਕਰਵਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਇਸ ਗੱਲ 'ਤੇ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਕਿ ਅਜਿਹੀਆਂ ਵਿਹਾਰਕ ਗਤੀਵਿਧੀਆਂ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਡਿਜ਼ਾਈਨ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਸੋਚ, ਤਕਨੀਕੀ ਹੁਨਰ, ਸੁਹਜ-ਸ਼ਾਸਤਰੀ ਸਮਝ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਕੰਮ ਨੂੰ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਆਤਮ-ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਕਸਤ ਕਰਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਦਦ ਕਰਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ।

ਭਾਗ ਲੈਣ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਸਮੱਗਰੀਆਂ, ਰੰਗਾਂ, ਬਣਤਰਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਸਜਾਵਟੀ ਤਕਨੀਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਕਰਕੇ ਹੈੱਡ-ਗੀਅਰ ਤਿਆਰ ਕੀਤੇ। ਇਸ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਨੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਰਚਨਾਤਮਕਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਪਯੋਗਤਾ ਵਿਚਕਾਰ ਸੰਤੁਲਨ ਬਣਾਈ ਰੱਖਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਆਕਾਰਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਬਣਤਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਪ੍ਰਯੋਗ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਮੌਕਾ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕੀਤਾ।

ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਦੇ ਨਤੀਜਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਨਿਰਣਾ ਵਾਈਸ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਸ਼੍ਰੀਮਤੀ ਜਗਦੀਪ ਕੌਰ, ਡਾ. ਭਾਨਵੀ ਅਤੇ ਡਾ. ਵਨੀਤ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਰਚਨਾਵਾਂ ਦਾ ਮੁਲਾਂਕਣ ਨਵੀਨਤਾ, ਸਿਮਟਰੀ, ਪੇਸ਼ਕਾਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਨਵੇਂ ਵਿਚਾਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ-ਨਾਲ ਸਮੁੱਚੀ ਸੁਹਜ-ਸੁੰਦਰਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਕਲਾਤਮਕ ਮੁਹਾਰਤ ਦੇ ਆਧਾਰ 'ਤੇ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ।

ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਾਰੀ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਦੇਖਣ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਫੈਕਲਟੀ ਮੈਂਬਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼੍ਰੀਮਤੀ ਅਭਿਨੀਤ ਕੌਰ, ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਰਾਹੁਲ, ਸ਼੍ਰੀਮਤੀ ਰਮਿਤ, ਸ਼੍ਰੀਮਤੀ ਲਵਲੀ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼੍ਰੀਮਤੀ ਦੇਵਿਕਾ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਸਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਲਾਘਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਜਿਹੀਆਂ ਅਨੁਭਵੀ ਸਿਖਲਾਈ ਗਤੀਵਿਧੀਆਂ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਰਚਨਾਤਮਕ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਹਾਰਕ ਹੁਨਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਕਸਤ ਕਰਦੇ ਰਹਿਣ ਲਈ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ।

ਹੈੱਡਗੇਅਰ ਮੇਕਿੰਗ ਮੁਕਾਬਲਾ ਇੱਕ ਸਕਾਰਾਤਮਕ ਨੋਟ 'ਤੇ ਸਮਾਪਤ ਹੋਇਆ, ਜਿਸ ਨਾਲ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਰਚਨਾਤਮਕਤਾ, ਪ੍ਰਯੋਗ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਹਾਰਕ ਉਪਯੋਗ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਫੈਸ਼ਨ ਉਪਕਰਣਾਂ ਦੀ ਪੜਚੋਲ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਭਰਪੂਰ ਮੌਕਾ ਮਿਲਿਆ। ਇਹ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਫੈਸ਼ਨ ਡਿਜ਼ਾਈਨਿੰਗ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੀ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਵੀਨਤਾ, ਰਚਨਾਤਮਕਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਹੁਨਰ-ਅਧਾਰਤ ਸਿਖਲਾਈ ਨੂੰ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹਿਤ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਵਚਨਬੱਧਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਦਰਸਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ।

ਪੋਸਟ-ਗ੍ਰੈਜੂਏਟ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਸਾਹਿਤ ਸਭਾ ਦਾ ਆਯੋਜਨ

ਅੱਜ ਮੁਲਤਾਨੀ ਮੱਲ ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ, ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਦੇ ਪੋਸਟ-ਗ੍ਰੈਜੂਏਟ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਗਠਿਤ ‘ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਸਾਹਿਤ ਸਭਾ’ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਸਾਹਿਤਕ ਗੋਸ਼ਟੀ ਦਾ ਆਯੋਜਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਇਸ ਗੋਸ਼ਟੀ ਦਾ ਉਦੇਸ਼ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਾਹਿਤਕ ਤੇ ਕਲਾਤਮਿਕ ਰੁਚੀਆਂ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਸਾਹਿਤਕ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਭਾ ਨੂੰ ਢੁੱਕਵਾਂ ਮੰਚ ਮੁਹੱਈਆ ਕਰਵਾਉਣਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਗੋਸ਼ਟੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਵਿਭਾਗਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਿਤ ਅਤੇ ਕਲਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੁਚੀ ਰੱਖਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਭਾਗ ਲਿਆ ।
ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ’ਤੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਬੋਧਨ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਕਾਲਜ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾ. ਨੀਰਜ ਗੋਇਲ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਕਲਾਤਮਿਕ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਉੱਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨਤਾ ਜ਼ਾਹਿਰ ਕੀਤੀ ਓਥੇ ਨਵੇਂ ਕਲਾਕਾਰਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਿਰਜਣਾਤਮਕ ਰੁਚੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਭਰਪੂਰ ਸ਼ਲਾਘਾ ਵੀ ਕੀਤੀ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਅਜੋਕੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਇੰਟਰਨੈੱਟ ਮਨੁੱਖੀ ਚੇਤਨਾ ‘ਚ ਗਿਆਨ ਦੇ ਸਰੋਤਾਂ ਵੱਜੋਂ ਨਵੇਂ ਵਿਸਥਾਰ ਸਿਰਜ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ, ਓਥੇ ਆਰਟੀਫਿਸ਼ੀਅਲ ਇੰਟੈਲੀਜੈਂਸੀ ਮਨੁੱਖੀ ਸਿਰਜਣਾ ਦੇ ਘੇਰੇ ਨੂੰ ਸੀਮਤ ਵੀ ਕਰ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ ਪਰ ਅਜਿਹੇ ਮੰਚ ਹੁਨਰ ਤੇ ਸਿਰਜਣਾ ਲਈ ਇਕ ਆਧਾਰ ਤੇ ਵਿਸਥਾਰ ਵਜੋਂ ਸਾਰਥਕ ਭੂਮਿਕਾ ਨਿਭਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ ਮਿਆਰੀ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ-ਨਾਲ ਆਪਣੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਹਿ-ਸਰਗਰਮੀਆਂ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਖ਼ਸੀਅਤ ਦੇ ਹਰ ਪੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਉਭਾਰਨ,ਨਿਖਾਰਨ ਲਈ ਲਈ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਵਚਨਬੱਧ ਹੈ।

ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੇ ਮੁਖੀ ਡਾ. ਵੀਰਪਾਲ ਕੌਰ ਨੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ ਜੀਵਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਜਿਹੀਆਂ ਸਾਹਿਤਕ ਗੋਸ਼ਟੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਯੋਗਦਾਨ ਤੇ ਮਹੱਤਤਾ ਬਾਰੇ ਜ਼ਿਕਰ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੀ ਸਾਹਿਤਕ ਗੋਸ਼ਟੀ ਦੇ ਇਤਿਹਾਸ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਸਾਂਝਾ ਕੀਤਾ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ ਸਿਲੇਬਸ ਦੀ ਪੜ੍ਹਾਈ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ ਅਜਿਹੀਆਂ ਸਰਗਰਮੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਬਣਦੇ ਹਨ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਖਸੀਅਤ ਬਾਕੀ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਵੱਖਰੇ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵਸ਼ਾਲੀ ਤਰੀਕੇ ਨਾਲ ਨਿਰਮਿਤ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਅੱਜ ਦੇ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਵਕਤਾ ਡਾਕਟਰ ਗੁਰਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਕੌਰ ਨੂੰ ਜੀ ਆਇਆ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਬਾਰੇ ਸੰਖੇਪ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਵੀ ਸਾਂਝੀ ਕੀਤੀ।

ਡਾਕਟਰ ਗੁਰਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਕੌਰ (ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਪਟਿਆਲਾ) ਨੇ ਦਲੀਪ ਕੌਰ ਟਿਵਾਣਾ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਿਤਕ ਸਫ਼ਰ ਬਾਰੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਆਪਣੇ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਸਾਂਝੇ ਕੀਤੇ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਦਲੀਪ ਕੌਰ ਟਿਵਾਣਾ ਦੇ ਮੁੱਢਲੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਕਾਲ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਹਿਤਕ ਕਾਲ ਬਾਰੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਸੰਵਾਦ ਰਚਾਇਆ। ਇਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਵਿਭਾਗਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਸਾਹਿਤਕ ਰਚਨਾਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੂਖਮ ਅਤੇ ਸੂਝਮਈ ਢੰਗ ਨਾਲ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕੀਤਾ। ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਰਚਨਾਵਾਂ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਸਮਾਜਕ ਮੁੱਦਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਮਨੁੱਖੀ ਦੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਵਰਤਾਰਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਵੇਦਨਸ਼ੀਲਤਾ ਨਾਲ ਛੂਹਣ ਦਾ ਯਤਨ ਕੀਤਾ। ਸਾਹਿਤਕ ਵੰਨਗੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਪੇਸ਼ਕਾਰੀ ਵਾਲ਼ੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਗੁਰਜੰਟ ਸਿੰਘ, ਰੂਬਨਦੀਪ ਕੌਰ, ਗੌਤਮ ਵਰਮਾ, ਹਰਨੀਲ ਸਿੰਘ, ਦਮਨਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ, ਅੰਬਰਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਕੌਰ, ਅਨੀਕਾ ਗੌਤਮ, ਮੁਕੇਸ਼ ਕੁਮਾਰ, ਦੀਕਸ਼ਾ, ਹਰਮਿਲਨ ਸਿੰਘ ਤੇ ਰਮਨਜੋਤ ਕੌਰ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹੋਏ। ਇਸ ਸਾਹਿਤਕ ਗੋਸ਼ਟੀ ਦੇ ਅੰਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਸਾਹਿਤ ਸਭਾ ਦੇ ਇੰਚਾਰਜ ਡਾ. ਦੀਪਕ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਨੇ ਰਸਮੀ ਤੌਰ ਉੱਤੇ ਧੰਨਵਾਦੀ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਸਾਂਝੇ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਭਾਸ਼ਾ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਹਿਤ ਪ੍ਰਤੀ ਸੰਜੀਦਗੀ ਨਾਲ ਸੋਚਣ, ਪੜ੍ਹਨ, ਲਿਖਣ ਅਤੇ ਇਸਦੇ ਭਵਿੱਖਮੁਖੀ ਆਦਰਸ਼ਾਂ ਵੱਲ ਸੇਧਿਤ ਹੋਣ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਿਤ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਸਭਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ਕੀਤਾ। ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਸਾਹਿਤ ਸਭਾ ਦੇ ਸਹਿ-ਇੰਚਾਰਜ ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਗੁਰਵਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਸਟੇਜ ਸੰਚਾਲਨ ਦਾ ਕਾਰਜ ਬਾਖ਼ੂਬੀ ਕੀਤਾ। ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰੋਫੈਸਰ ਸਾਹਿਬਾਨ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ ਬਾਕੀ ਵਿਭਾਗਾਂ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰੋਫੈਸਰ ਸਾਹਿਬਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ ਭਰਵੀਂ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਾਜ਼ਿਰ ਸਨ।

A Five-Day Workshop on English Language and Public Speaking Skills by Department of English Concludes at Multani Mal Modi College, Patiala

Patiala: 24 September 2026

The Department of English at Multani Mal Modi College, Patiala, successfully conducted a five-day workshop on English Language and Public Speaking Skills from September 15th, 2026 to 19th September, 2026. This workshop was specially designed for students across various disciplines, including Commerce, Science, Arts, Medical and Non-medical to refine their skills in English and public speaking.

College principal Dr. Neeraj Goyal congratulated the English Department and the participants and said that English is the language of global communications and networking. He motivated the students to be proficient in English for better job opportunities and mastering life skills.

College registrar Dr. Ajit Kumar appreciated the Workshop and advised the students to include literary texts in the reading routine for a successful career and meaning full life.

The workshop commenced with a session on Interview Skills, facilitated by Prof. Gaganpreet Kaur, who provided valuable insights into interview preparation and conducted a mock interview to demonstrate best practices.

On the second day of the workshop a session was conducted on ‘Group Discussion’ by Dr. Maninder Kaur who demonstrated with live examples the significance and techniques of choosing a topic for group discussion and the communication barriers faced by a group.

The third day of the workshop was dedicated to International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA) led by Dr. Vaneet Kaur, Head of the Department. She introduced students to the fundamentals of phonetics and the International Phonetic Alphabet, emphasizing their significance in achieving clarity and correctness in speech.

On the fourth day, Dr. Harpreet Singh discussed the importance of Vocabulary as a communication tool. He elaborated how vocabulary is the main source needed to share thoughts, feelings and information accurately.

On the of fifth day of the workshop, Dr. Harleen Kaur led a session on the Art of Public speaking, inspiring students to hone their presentation skills for effective stage presence.

Dr. Vaneet Kaur, Head of English Department told that total 62 students were registered for this workshop The event aimed to enhance students' communicative competence and build their confidence in expressing themselves in academic, professional, and social contexts.

To conclude the workshop, an online test was administered to evaluate the knowledge and skills acquired during the sessions. Certificates were awarded to all the participants. Dr (Lt) Rohit Sachdeva, Dean Academics, Prof. Amandeep Kaur, Prof. Ravinder Singh and Prof Anita also attended the workshop.

The vote of thanks was delivered by Dr. Harpreet Singh, Assistant professor, Department of English. During the feedback session students Taniya Kohli, Hemant Sankhla and Tanishqa Jaiswal appreciated the workshop and said that this five-day academic workshop proved to be a fruitful experience, enhancing our skills and instilling confidence.

ਮੁਲਤਾਨੀ ਮੱਲ ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ, ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਵਿਖੇ ਅੰਗਰੇਜ਼ੀ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਵੱਲੋਂ 15 ਸਤੰਬਰ, 2026 ਤੋਂ 19 ਸਤੰਬਰ, 2026 ਤੱਕ ਅੰਗਰੇਜ਼ੀ ਭਾਸ਼ਾ ਅਤੇ ਪਬਲਿਕ ਸਪੀਕਿੰਗ ਦੇ ਹੁਨਰ 'ਤੇ ਪੰਜ-ਰੋਜ਼ਾ ਵਰਕਸ਼ਾਪ ਦਾ ਸਫਲਤਾਪੂਰਵਕ ਆਯੋਜਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ।ਇਹ ਵਰਕਸ਼ਾਪ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਤੌਰ 'ਤੇ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਵਿਸ਼ਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਲਈ ਤਿਆਰ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਸੀ, ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੈਡੀਕਲ, ਆਰਟ, ਕਾਮਰਸ ਆਦਿ ਵਿਭਾਗਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਅੰਗਰੇਜ਼ੀ ਭਾਸ਼ਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੁਹਾਰਤ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਪਬਲਿਕ ਸਪੀਕਿੰਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਪ੍ਰਪੱਕ ਹੋਣ ਲਈ ਇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਾਗ ਲਿਆ।

ਕਾਲਜ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾ: ਨੀਰਜ ਗੋਇਲ ਨੇ ਅੰਗਰੇਜ਼ੀ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਧਾਈ ਦਿੰਦਿਆਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਅੰਗਰੇਜ਼ੀ ਵਿਸ਼ਵ ਸੰਚਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਨੈੱਟਵਰਕਿੰਗ ਦੀ ਭਾਸ਼ਾ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਨੌਕਰੀ ਦੇ ਬਿਹਤਰ ਮੌਕਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਫਲਤਾ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਅੰਗਰੇਜ਼ੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੁਹਾਰਤ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ।

ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਤੇ ਕਾਲਜ ਰਜਿਸਟ੍ਰਾਰ ਡਾ. ਅਜੀਤ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਨੇ ਵਰਕਸ਼ਾਪ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਸਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਫਲ ਕੈਰੀਅਰ ਲਈ ਆਪਣੀ ਪੜ੍ਹਣ ਦੇ ਰੁਟੀਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਾਹਿਤਕ ਪੁਸਤਕਾਂ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਸਲਾਹ ਦਿੱਤੀ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਅੰਗਰੇਜ਼ੀ ਭਾਸ਼ਾ ਦਾ ਹੁਨਰ ਸਿੱਖਣ 'ਤੇ ਧਿਆਨ ਦੇਣ ਲਈ ਵੀ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ।

ਇਸ ਵਰਕਸ਼ਾਪ ਦੀ ਸ਼ੁਰੂਆਤ ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਗਗਨਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਕੌਰ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਇੰਟਰਵਿਊ ਦੇ ਹੁਨਰ 'ਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਸੈਸ਼ਨ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਹੋਈ, ਜਿਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਇੰਟਰਵਿਊ ਦੀ ਤਿਆਰੀ ਲਈ ਕੀਮਤੀ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਚੰਗੇ ਸੰਚਾਰ ਦੇ ਤਰੀਕਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਿਤ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਮੌਕ ਇੰਟਰਵਿਊ ਵੀ ਕਰਵਾਈ।

ਵਰਕਸ਼ਾਪ ਦੇ ਦੂਜੇ ਦਿਨ ਡਾ: ਮਨਿੰਦਰ ਕੌਰ ਦੁਆਰਾ 'ਗਰੁੱਪ ਡਿਸਕਸ਼ਨ' ਵਿਸ਼ੇ 'ਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਸੈਸ਼ਨ ਆਯੋਜਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਲਾਈਵ ਉਦਾਹਰਣਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਗਰੁੱਪ ਡਿਸਕਸ਼ਨ ਲਈ ਵਿਸ਼ਾ ਚੁਣਨ ਦੀ ਮਹੱਤਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਤਕਨੀਕਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਗਰੁੱਪ ਡਿਸਕਸ਼ਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਰਪੇਸ਼ ਸੰਚਾਰ ਰੁਕਾਵਟਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਚਰਚਾ ਕੀਤੀ।

ਵਰਕਸ਼ਾਪ ਦਾ ਤੀਜਾ ਦਿਨ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੇ ਮੁਖੀ ਡਾ: ਵਨੀਤ ਕੌਰ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਹੇਠ ਇੰਟਰਨੈਸ਼ਨਲ ਫੋਨੇਟਿਕ ਵਰਣਮਾਲਾ (ਆਈ.ਪੀ.ਏ.) ਨੂੰ ਸਮਰਪਿਤ ਸੀ ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਧੁਨੀ ਵਿਗਿਆਨ ਅਤੇ ਅੰਤਰਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਧੁਨੀਆਤਮਕ ਵਰਣਮਾਲਾ ਦੇ ਬੁਨਿਆਦੀ ਸਿਧਾਂਤਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਜਾਣੂ ਕਰਵਾਇਆ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਭਾਸ਼ਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੱਪਸ਼ਟਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ੁੱਧਤਾ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਨ ਵਿੱਚ (ਆਈ.ਪੀ.ਏ.) ਦੀ ਮਹੱਤਤਾ 'ਤੇ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ।

ਚੌਥੇ ਦਿਨ ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਹਰਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਸੰਚਾਰ ਸਾਧਨ ਵਜੋਂ ਸ਼ਬਦਾਵਲੀ ਦੀ ਮਹੱਤਤਾ ਬਾਰੇ ਚਰਚਾ ਕੀਤੀ।ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਵਿਸਥਾਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਵਿਚਾਰਾਂ, ਭਾਵਨਾਵਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਸਹੀ ਢੰਗ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਂਝਾ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਸ਼ਬਦਾਵਲੀ ਮੁੱਖ ਸਰੋਤ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ।

ਵਰਕਸ਼ਾਪ ਦੇ ਪੰਜਵੇਂ ਦਿਨ, ਡਾ. ਹਰਲੀਨ ਕੌਰ ਨੇ ਆਰਟ ਆਫ਼ ਪਬਲਿਕ ਸਪੀਕਿੰਗ 'ਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਸੈਸ਼ਨ ਆਯੋਜਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵਸ਼ਾਲੀ ਪਬਲਿਕ ਸਪੀਕਿੰਗ ਲਈ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਢੰਗ-ਤਰਿਕਆਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਚਰਚਾ ਕੀਤੀ।

ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਤੇ ਅੰਗਰੇਜ਼ੀ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੇ ਮੁਖੀ ਡਾ: ਵਨੀਤ ਕੌਰ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਵਰਕਸ਼ਾਪ ਲਈ ਕੁੱਲ 62 ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਰਜਿਸਟ੍ਰੇਸ਼ਨ ਕਰਵਾਈ ਸੀ, ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਮੁੱਖ ਉਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਸੰਚਾਰ ਸਮਰੱਥਾ ਨੂੰ ਵਧਾਉਣਾ ਅਤੇ ਅਕਾਦਮਿਕ, ਪੇਸ਼ੇਵਰ ਅਤੇ ਸਮਾਜਿਕ ਸੰਦਰਭਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਗਟਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਤਮ -ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰਨਾ ਸੀ।

ਵਰਕਸ਼ਾਪ ਦੀ ਸਮਾਪਤੀ ਤੇ ਵਰਕਸ਼ਾਪ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਹਾਸਲ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਿਆਨ ਅਤੇ ਹੁਨਰ ਦਾ ਮੁਲਾਂਕਣ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਔਨਲਾਈਨ ਟੈਸਟ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ।।ਵਰਕਸ਼ਾਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਾਗ ਲੈਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਰਟੀਫਿਕੇਟ ਵੀ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ।

ਇਸ ਵਰਕਸ਼ਾਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਡਾ.(ਲੈਫਟੀਨੈਂਟ) ਰੋਹਿਤ ਸਚਦੇਵਾ, ਡੀਨ ਅਕਾਦਮਿਕ, ਪ੍ਰੋ: ਅਮਨਦੀਪ ਕੌਰ, ਪ੍ਰੋ: ਰਵਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰੋ: ਅਨੀਤਾ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਸ਼ਿਰਕਤ ਕੀਤੀ।

Multani Mal Modi College Organises Student Development Programme on Class Room to Corporate

Multani Mal Modi College, Patiala today organised a Student Development Programme to help students navigate the rapidly changing demands of the modern workfoite and bridge the gap between academic leaming and corporate expectations. Dr. Bhavna Chhabra, Professor and Associate Dean at ICFAI Business School (IBS), Gurgaon joined as resource person in this programme.

College Principal Dr. Neeraj Goyal welcomed the resource person and said, "our constant efforts is to empower students with holistic education and industry-aligned skills in today's dynamic global landscape, academic excellence must be complemented by adaptability, digital literacy, and and strong professional competencies, Seminars and workshops like this Student Development Programme serve as crucial stepping stones in equipping our graduates to confidently step into the profeccional world and build meaningful, future-ready careers."

Speaking on the topic, "Career After Graduation: Employability Skills, Dr. Chabre stressed the critical importance of strategic career preparation, Al literac adapting to emerging workplace technologies. She highlighted what top rocnices look for in fresh graduates and encouraged students to foster essential attributes such as adaptability, effective communication, self-confidence, and continuous learning. The session included an interactive questionnaire and an engaging open discussion, giving students practical guidance on aligning their skill sets with industry requirements.

Dr. (Lt) Rohit Sachdeva, the coordinator of the Department said that the seminars and workshops like this make our students ready for the different roles and also fill with them required skills and confidence.

“Multani Mal Modi College Students Win Shere-Punjab Cricket Trophy as Members of Amritsar Surme Team”

Students of Multani Mal Modi College, Patiala, Raevanpreet Singh and Saksheya Khurana, secured the first position as members of the Amritsar Surme team in the Shere-Punjab Cricket Trophy, held at Bindra Cricket Stadium, Mohali, from August 30 to September 13, 2026.

Principal Dr. Neeraj Goyal congratulated the winning students and expressed his pride in their outstanding achievement. He said, “Our College is proud to announce that our students have brought laurels to the institution by winning the Shere-Punjab Cricket Trophy. This achievement is a testament to their hard work, dedication, and commitment to excellence. We appreciate the efforts of the Sports Faculty and our students for their discipline, dedication, and sportsmanship.”

मुल्तानी मल्‍ल मोदी कॉलेज पटियाला में मनाया गया हिंदी दिवस

स्थानीय मुल्तानी मल्ल मोदी कॉलेज, पटियाला के हिंदी विभाग ने आज 'हिंदी दिवस' मनाने के लिए एक विशेष व्याख्यान का आयोजन किया। इसका मुख्य उद्देश्य हिंदी भाषा के महत्व को विद्यार्थियों के साथ साझा करना और रोज़मर्रा के जीवन में इसके उपयोग को प्रोत्साहित करने के साथ-साथ राष्ट्रीय एकता और सांस्कृतिक संरक्षण में इसकी ऐतिहासिकता को प्रमाणित करना था। इस समारोह में मुख्य अतिथि के रूप में प्रो. (डॉ.) नरेश कुमार वत्स, राजीव गांधी नेशनल यूनिवर्सिटी ऑफ़ लॉ, पंजाब ने शिरकत की।

कॉलेज के प्राचार्य डॉ. नीरज गोयल ने मुख्य अतिथि का स्वागत किया और कहा कि 'हिंदी दिवस' आपसी संवाद और सांस्कृतिक सौहार्द को बढ़ावा देने के उद्देश्य से मनाया जाता है। उन्होंने इस बात पर ज़ोर दिया कि हिंदी विभिन्न भारतीय भाषाओं के बीच एक सेतु का काम करती है और संपर्क भाषा के रूप में महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाती है। डॉ. गोयल ने आगे कहा कि जो भाषा पूरे देश को एक सूत्र में पिरोती है, वह वास्तव में राष्ट्र की पहचान बन जाती है और हिंदी एक समृद्ध व जीवंत भाषा है जो इस राष्ट्रीय ज़िम्मेदारी को सफलतापूर्वक निभाती है। इसका साहित्य जितना समृद्ध है, उतनी ही यह आधुनिक तकनीकी प्रगति को अपनाने में पूरी तरह सक्षम है।

(डॉ.) नरेश कुमार वत्स ने आज के युग में हिंदी की प्रासंगिकता और इसके आधुनिक स्वरूप पर चर्चा की। उन्होंने हिंदी को अन्य भारतीय भाषाओं की सहचरी बताते हुए इसके समृद्ध साहित्यिक विरासत को उजागर किया। उन्होंने बताया कि आज़ादी से पहले की विभिन्न परिस्थितियों के कारण देश की भाषाएं प्रशासनिक कार्यों का प्राथमिक माध्यम नहीं बन सकीं; हालांकि, आज़ादी के बाद भारतीय संविधान ने सभी भाषाओं को समान सम्मान प्रदान किया और उनके पारस्परिक विकास का मार्ग प्रशस्त किया।

हिंदी विभाग के अध्‍यक्ष डॉ. रुपिंद्र शर्मा ने हिंदी को भारत की सांस्कृतिक चेतना की संवाहक बताते हुए इसकी ऐतिहासिक यात्रा और हिंदी दिवस के महत्व पर प्रकाश डालते हुए अपने विचार साझा किए। कार्यक्रम के समापन पर उन्होंने उपस्थित श्रोताओं का धन्यवाद किया और विद्यार्थियों को यह संदेश दिया कि भाषा एक सभ्य समाज की नींव होती है; इसलिए प्रत्येक भाषा का सम्मान किया जाना चाहिए।

कार्यक्रम के दौरान विद्यार्थियों ने विभिन्न साहित्यिक और भाषाई गतिविधियों में उत्साहपूर्वक भाग लिया। भाषण, वाचन और कविता पाठ जैसी प्रमुख गतिविधियों के माध्यम से विद्यार्थियों ने न केवल हिंदी के महत्व को रेखांकित किया, बल्कि आज के दौर में इसके सामने आने वाली चुनौतियों और प्रश्नों पर भी अपने विचार साझा किए। इन प्रस्तुतियों में भाग लेने वाले सभी विद्यार्थियों को मुख्य अतिथि और प्राचार्य द्वारा प्रमाण पत्र भी वितरित किए गए।

कार्यक्रम की शुरुआत प्रो. कपिल शर्मा और प्रो. गुरविंदर सिंह द्वारा की गई सुंदर एंकरिंग के साथ हुई, जिन्होंने विद्यार्थियों को हिंदी भाषा से जुड़ने का आह्वान किया।

Hindi Diwas Celebrated at Multani Mal Modi College, Patiala

The Department of Hindi, Multani Mal Modi College, Patiala, today organized a special lecture to mark the ‘Hindi Diwas’ celebrations. The celebrations aim to promote the pride in the language and encourage its use in everyday life, reinforcing its importance in national unity and cultural preservation. The chief guest in this event was Prof. (Dr.) Naresh Kumar Vats, Rajiv Gandhi national University of Law, Punjab

College Principal Dr. Neeraj Goyal welcomed the Chief Guest and noted that the ‘Hindi Diwas’ is celebrated with the objective of enriching mutual dialogue and cultural affinity. He emphasized that Hindi serves as a bridge among various Indian languages, playing a vital role as a lingua franca. Dr. Goyal further stated that a language which unites the entire country into a single thread truly becomes the identity of the nation, and Hindi is a prosperous and vibrant language that successfully fulfils this national responsibility. Its literature is as rich as it is fully capable of embracing modern technological advancements.

In his address, Chief Guest, Prof. (Dr.) Naresh Kumar Vats discussed the relevance of Hindi and its modern form in today's era. Describing Hindi as a companion to other Indian languages, he highlighted its rich literary heritage. He explained that due to various circumstances before independence, the country's languages could not become the primary medium of administrative work; however, following independence, the Indian Constitution granted equal respect to all languages, paving the way for their mutual development.

Dr. Rupinder Sharma, Head, Hindi department, shared his views, describing Hindi as the carrier of India's cultural consciousness while shedding light on its historical journey and the significance of Hindi Diwas. Concluding the program, he expressed gratitude to the assembled audience and delivered a message to the students that language is the foundation of a civilized society; therefore, every language should be respected. A large number of faculty members and students were present throughout the event.

During the program, students enthusiastically participated in various literary and linguistic activities. Through key activities such as speeches, recitation, and poetry reading, participants not only underscored the significance of Hindi but also shared their thoughts on the challenges and questions confronting it in today's age. The participation certificates were also distributed by the Chief Guest and principal to all the students who took part in these presentations.

The event commenced with energetic and beautiful anchoring by Prof. Kapil Sharma and Prof. Gurvinder Singh, who successfully engaged the students with the theme and infused vitality into the entire gathering.

ਕਾਲਜ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾ. ਨੀਰਜ ਗੋਇਲ ਨੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਮਹਿਮਾਨ ਦਾ ਸਵਾਗਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ 'ਹਿੰਦੀ ਦਿਵਸ' ਆਪਸੀ ਸੰਵਾਦ ਅਤੇ ਸੱਭਿਆਚਾਰਕ ਸਾਂਝ ਵਧਾਉਣ ਦੇ ਉਦੇਸ਼ ਨਾਲ ਮਨਾਇਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਗੱਲ 'ਤੇ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਕਿ ਹਿੰਦੀ ਵੱਖੁਵੱਖ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਭਾਸ਼ਾਵਾਂ ਵਿਚਕਾਰ ਇੱਕ ਪੁਲ ਦਾ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਭਾਸ਼ਾ ਦੇ ਤੌਰ 'ਤੇ ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਨ ਭੂਮਿਕਾ ਨਿਭਾਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ। ਡਾ: ਗੋਇਲ ਨੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਜੋ ਭਾਸ਼ਾ ਪੂਰੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਇੱਕ ਧਾਗੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਜੋੜਦੀ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਅਸਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰ ਦੀ ਪਛਾਣ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਹਿੰਦੀ ਇੱਕ ਅਮੀਰ ਅਤੇ ਜੀਵੰਤ ਭਾਸ਼ਾ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਇਸ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਮੇਵਾਰੀ ਸਫਲਤਾਪੂਰਵਕ ਨਿਭਾਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਦਾ ਸਾਹਿਤ ਜਿੰਨਾਂ੍ਹ ਅਮੀਰ ਹੈ ਉੰਨਾ੍ਹ ਹੀ ਇਹ ਆਧੁਨਿਕ ਤਕਨੀਕੀ ਤਰੱਕੀ ਅਪਣਾਉਣ ਦੇ ਪੂਰੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਮਰੱਥ ਹੈ।
ਆਪਣੇ ਸੰਬੋਧਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੁੱਖ ਮਹਿਮਾਨ ਪ੍ਰੋ.(ਡਾ.) ਨਰੇਸ਼ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਵਤਸ ਨੇ ਅੱਜ ਦੇ ਯੁੱਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਿੰਦੀ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਗਿਕਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਦੇ ਆਧੁਨਿਕ ਰੂਪ ਬਾਰੇ ਚਰਚਾ ਕੀਤੀ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੋਰ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਭਾਸ਼ਾਵਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਾਥੀ ਦੱਸਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਇਸ ਦੇ ਅਮੀਰ ਸਾਹਿਤਕ ਵਿਰਸੇ ਉਜਾਗਰ ਕੀਤਾ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਆਜ਼ਾਦੀ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਵੱਖੁਵੱਖ ਸਥਿਤੀਆਂ ਕਾਰਨ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦੀਆਂ ਭਾਸ਼ਾਵਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਾਸਨਿਕ ਕੰਮਾਂ ਦਾ ਮੁੱਢਲਾ ਮਾਧਿਅਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਬਣ ਸਕੀਆਂ; ਹਾਲਾਂਕਿ, ਆਜ਼ਾਦੀ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ, ਭਾਰਤੀ ਸੰਵਿਧਾਨ ਨੇ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਭਾਸ਼ਾਵਾਂ ਬਰਾਬਰ ਸਨਮਾਨ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਆਪਸੀ ਵਿਕਾਸ ਲਈ ਰਾਹ ਪੱਧਰਾ ਕੀਤਾ।
ਹਿੰਦੀ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੇ ਮੁਖੀ ਡਾ: ਰੁਪਿੰਦਰ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ ਨੇ ਹਿੰਦੀ ਭਾਰਤ ਦੀ ਸੱਭਿਆਚਾਰਕ ਚੇਤਨਾ ਦਾ ਵਾਹਕ ਦੱਸਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਇਸ ਦੀ ਇਤਿਹਾਸਕ ਯਾਤਰਾ ਅਤੇ ਹਿੰਦੀ ਦਿਵਸ ਦੀ ਮਹੱਤਤਾ 'ਤੇ ਚਾਨਣਾ ਪਾਉਂਦਿਆਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਸਾਂਝੇ ਕੀਤੇ। ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਦੀ ਸਮਾਪਤੀ ਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਇਕੱਤਰ ਹੋਏ ਸਰੋਤਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਕਿ ਭਾਸ਼ਾ ਇੱਕ ਸੱਭਿਅਕ ਸਮਾਜ ਦੀ ਨੀਂਹ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ; ਇਸ ਲਈ ਹਰ ਭਾਸ਼ਾ ਦਾ ਸਤਿਕਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਵੱਖੁਵੱਖ ਸਾਹਿਤਕ ਅਤੇ ਭਾਸ਼ਾਈ ਗਤੀਵਿਧੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਨਾਲ ਭਾਗ ਲਿਆ। ਭਾਸ਼ਣ, ਪਾਠ ਅਤੇ ਕਵਿਤਾ ਪਾਠ ਵਰਗੀਆਂ ਮੁੱਖ ਗਤੀਵਿਧੀਆਂ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਨਾ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਹਿੰਦੀ ਦੀ ਮਹੱਤਤਾ ਰੇਖਾਂਕਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ, ਸਗੋਂ ਅੱਜ ਦੇ ਯੁੱਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਸ ਦਰਪੇਸ਼ ਚੁਣੌਤੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਸਵਾਲਾਂ 'ਤੇ ਵੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਸਾਂਝੇ ਕੀਤੇ। ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਪੇਸ਼ਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਾਗ ਲੈਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਮੁੱਖ ਮਹਿਮਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਸਰਟੀਫਿਕੇਟ ਵੀ ਵੰਡੇ ਗਏ।
