There is a news circulating around about Dipa Karmakar saying she has won the gold in Gymnastics in Rio 2016. Kindly do not repost or share such false news.
Clarification: The news is about the test event which happened 3 months prior to the Olympic games in Rio 2016 in April.

Dipa has given an excellent performance in Vaults category of Gymnastics and secured 8th rank in the qualifiers with a score of 14.850. She is going to compete in the finals on Sunday, 14th August at 11.20 pm IST. We will compete at the finals with her best weapon "The Produnova" against the likes of Simone Biles (3 time world champion).
