Under the Mission Clean Patiala Campaign, an awareness drive was conducted on 12th May 2026 by the students of Government Polytechnic College (GPC), SST Nagar, Patiala to educate local residents about the importance of cleanliness, proper waste disposal, and environmental protection. During the drive, students visited nearby localities and interacted with residents to spread awareness about the harmful effects of single-use plastics and the need to reduce plastic consumption in daily life. Pamphlets and awareness material were also distributed among the public to encourage responsible waste management practices. The students motivated citizens to segregate wet and dry waste, use dustbins, and adopt eco-friendly alternatives such as cloth and paper bags. Residents appreciated the efforts of the students and actively participated in the campaign. The awareness drive aimed to inspire collective responsibility among citizens and promote sustainable habits for a healthier environment. The initiative also supported the vision of making Patiala a clean, green, and environmentally conscious city.
