The Department of Social Sciences (History, Political Science, and Sociology) at Guru Hargobind Sahib Khalsa Girls College organized a vibrant Chart Making Competition on 13 August 2026 regarding Independence of India aimed at fostering creativity and academic expression among students.
The event, held on the college campus, witnessed enthusiastic participation from students across various streams, who showcased their artistic and research skills through visually compelling charts. The competition provided a platform for students to translate complex historical events, political theories, and sociological concepts into engaging visual narratives.
The competition was held under the proficient guidance of the College Principal, **Dr. Ramanjit Kaur**, who encouraged the students to blend academic knowledge with creative presentation. She emphasized the importance of such co-curricular activities in the holistic development of students.
**Ms. Kushpreet Kaur** bagged the first position for her outstanding chart presentation, while **Ms. Manpreet Kaur** secured the second position for her impressive work.
