As part of the Nasha Mukt Bharat Saptah (17–26 June 2026) and in connection with the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, a Screening of Short Awareness Films was organized at Koklabari Chapaguri College.
The programme was conducted under the theme:
"Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan – Viksit Bharat Ki Pehchaan"
The awareness films highlighted the harmful effects of substance abuse and emphasized the collective responsibility of society in building a healthy, productive, and drug-free nation.
The programme was organized by the District Social Welfare Office, Baksa in collaboration with the NSS Unit and NCC, Koklabari Chapaguri College.
Students, NSS volunteers, NCC cadets, faculty members, and staff actively participated in the programme.

Foundation Stone Laying Ceremony of Boys' Hostel at Koklabari Chapaguri College, Hazuwa, Baksa
Koklabari Chapaguri College, Hazuwa, Baksa, witnessed a significant milestone on 21st June, 2026 with the Foundation Stone Laying Ceremony of the Boys' Hostel within the college campus. The programme marked an important step towards strengthening the academic infrastructure and providing better residential facilities for students, particularly those coming from distant rural areas.
The foundation stone was ceremonially laid by Sjt. Augustus Tigga, Hon'ble Executive Member (EM), BTC and representative of No. 23 Dihira Constituency, Baksa. The occasion was graced by distinguished guests including Sjt. Maneswar Basumatary, Hon'ble MLA, 42 Baksa LAC, Assam, and Sjt. Thaneswar Basumatary, Hon'ble MLA, 41 Manas LAC, Assam.
The programme was also attended by the TCLCC Chairmen of Koklabari and Dihira Constituencies, members of the college management, faculty members, students, local dignitaries, and party workers. The guests highlighted the importance of educational infrastructure in promoting higher education and ensuring better opportunities for students from rural and economically weaker backgrounds.
Speaking on the occasion, the dignitaries expressed their commitment towards the overall development of the institution and assured continued support for the growth and progress of Koklabari Chapaguri College. They emphasized that the proposed Boys' Hostel would greatly benefit students by providing a safe and conducive environment for learning and personal development.

Celebration of International Yoga Day- 2026 at Koklabari Chapaguri College, Baksa
Koklabari Chapaguri College, Hazuwa, Baksa, celebrated the International Day of Yoga on 21st June 2026 with great enthusiasm and active participation from students, teachers, NSS volunteers, NCC cadets, and security personnel. The programme was organized by the NSS Unit of Koklabari Chapaguri College in collaboration with the NCC Unit of the College with the objective of promoting physical fitness, mental well-being, and a healthy lifestyle among the youth.
The celebration commenced in the morning with a mass yoga session held on the college campus. The programme was conducted in the presence of Mr. Bhaigya Ramchiary, Programme Officer, NSS Unit, Koklabari Chapaguri College, and Mr. Sukreswar Baro, CTO, NCC Unit, Koklabari Chapaguri College. Their guidance and encouragement inspired the participants to actively engage in the yoga activities.
A significant feature of the programme was the participation of personnel from the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) of the local camp. The SSB personnel joined the morning yoga session and performed various yoga postures and breathing exercises alongside the students and volunteers. Their participation added importance to the event and demonstrated the role of yoga in maintaining physical fitness, mental discipline, and emotional resilience.
During the session, participants practiced different yoga asanas, pranayama, and meditation techniques under proper guidance. The programme highlighted the importance of yoga in reducing stress, improving concentration, enhancing physical health, and fostering inner peace. Speakers emphasized that yoga is an invaluable gift of India's ancient tradition and a powerful means of achieving harmony between the body, mind, and spirit.
Addressing the gathering, the NSS Programme Officer and the NCC CTO encouraged students to adopt yoga as a regular part of their daily routine for a healthier and more disciplined life. They also highlighted the relevance of yoga in today's fast-paced world, where physical and mental well-being are essential for personal and professional success.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks to all participants, especially the NSS volunteers, NCC cadets, SSB personnel, teaching and non-teaching staff, and students whose cooperation ensured the successful conduct of the event. The celebration of International Yoga Day 2026 served as a meaningful initiative to spread awareness about the benefits of yoga and to inspire the college community to embrace a healthy and balanced lifestyle.

Inauguration of Additional New Classroom Building at Koklabari Chapaguri College, Hazuwa, Baksa
Koklabari Chapaguri College, Baksa, marked another significant milestone in its journey of academic development with the inauguration of an Additional New Classroom Building on 17th June 2026 (Wednesday). The building was constructed from the College Development Fund with the objective of enhancing academic infrastructure and providing a better learning environment for students.
The inauguration ceremony was graciously conducted by Sjt. Thaneswar Basumatary, Hon'ble MLA, 41 Manas Legislative Assembly Constituency (President, Governing Body KC College), in the presence of distinguished guests and well-wishers of the college. Among the notable attendees were Mr. Gobinda Narzary( Founder Secretary,Managing Committee, KC College); Mr. Prafulla Kr. Brahma(Former Secretary, Managing Committee, KC College); Mr. Anil Kr. Thakuria (Former Vice-President, Managing Committee, KC College); Dr. Keshab Basumatary, (Principal, BB Kishan College, Jalah and University-Nominated GB Member); Mr. Matindra Daimary, (Former Vice-President and Advisor, Managing Committee, KC College) ; and former advisors of the Managing Committee, namely Mrs. Phuleswari Swargiary, Mr. Binod Kr. Brahma, and Mr. Harihar Brahma.
The dignitaries appreciated the continuous efforts of the college in strengthening its infrastructure and emphasized the importance of quality educational facilities for the overall development of students. The newly constructed classroom building is expected to address the growing academic needs of the institution and contribute significantly to the enhancement of teaching-learning activities.

The teaching staff of Koklabari Chapaguri College actively participated in the three-day Teachers’ Conclave on NEP-2020 and Workshop-cum-Training Programme on the Samarth Module, jointly organized by Bodoland University and the Department of Education, BTC, at Bodoland University, Kokrajhar. The programme aimed to enhance the understanding of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and strengthen the digital and administrative capabilities of faculty members through hands-on training in the Samarth educational management system. The conclave provided a valuable platform for interaction with academicians, educationists, and policy experts, enabling participants to gain insights into the effective implementation of NEP-2020 in higher education institutions. The participation of the college faculty reflects the institution’s commitment to academic excellence, professional development, and the successful implementation of educational reforms and digital governance initiatives.
