S.M.D.R.S.D. College of Education, Pathankot, enthusiastically celebrated World Environment Day on 5 June 2026 under the banner of NSS (National Service Scheme). The event aimed to raise awareness about environmental conservation and encourage students to adopt eco-friendly practices in their daily lives.
The celebration featured a Poster Making Competition in which students creatively expressed their ideas on environmental protection, sustainability, afforestation, pollution control, and the importance of preserving natural resources. The participants showcased their artistic talent through colorful and thought-provoking posters carrying messages such as “Save Earth,” “Go Green,” and “Protect Nature for Future Generations.”
Students actively participated with great enthusiasm and demonstrated their commitment towards building a cleaner and greener environment. The NSS volunteers emphasized the significance of environmental responsibility and motivated everyone to contribute towards a sustainable future.The Principal and faculty members appreciated the efforts of the students and highlighted the importance of collective action in protecting our planet. The program concluded with a pledge to promote environmental awareness and adopt eco-friendly habits.The celebration was a great success and served as an inspiring reminder that every small step towards environmental conservation can make a significant difference in creating a healthier and greener world.

SMDRSD College of Education organized the Annual Function cm Farewell Party for B.Ed. Semester IV (2024–26) and D.El.Ed. Session (2023–25) with great enthusiasm and joy. The event was graced by Dr.Minakshi Vig, Mrs. Arti and Mrs.Sushma Gupta (Guest of Honor).The students participated enthusiastically in dance, modelling, solo and group song performances, making the celebration lively and memorable. Academic achievers and title winners were also honoured with prizes.

The Second Position has been jointly achieved by Tarunjeet Kaur, Ramya and Anamika Saini securing an excellent CGPA of 7.7, demonstrating their sincere academic efforts and commitment to excellence. Science Day organized by the Science Department on 28/02/2026.The Science Department of SMDRSD College of Education vibrantly celebrated National Science Day under the visionary leadership of Principal Dr. Meenakshi Vig. Our talented B.Ed. Science students took center stage, showcasing that science is as much an art as it is a logic. The event kicked off with a thought-provoking play and powerful speeches highlighting sustainable innovation. Creative poems and brain-tickling riddles kept the audience engaged, while live scientific experiments brought textbook theories to life with spectacular results. Detailed student-made charts on Fission and Vegetative Propagation further demonstrated their deep conceptual grip. Principal Vig lauded the students' efforts, emphasizing the importance of fostering a scientific temper in future educators. It was a day of discovery, proving that our future teachers are ready to ignite curiosity in the next generation!
