I know how excited you are whenever a holiday is announced. But remember, this is not a holiday gifted by the weather. It is a precaution taken to keep you safe.

So, I have a small challenge for you during these holidays.
Study a little. Read a good book. Spend quality time with your family. Instead of becoming another "homework" for your parents, lend them a helping hand.

Most importantly, unless it is absolutely necessary, stay at home. Avoid going near rivers, streams, waterfalls, waterlogged roads, or places prone to landslides. Nature is beautiful, but during heavy rains, the best way to respect nature is to keep a safe distance.

If your friends invite you to go and watch overflowing rivers or streams, have the confidence to say "No." That one decision could keep you safe.

Be caring towards your parents, the elderly at home, your relatives, neighbours, and even your pets. A responsible student is a source of strength and pride for the entire family.

When school reopens, I hope you return to your classroom with bright smiles, ready to share with your friends how you spent these rainy days safely and meaningfully.
Until then, Study a little. Have lots of fun. Keep learning. Stay safe.

Instead of letting curiosity about flooded places fill your mind, let it be filled with new knowledge and meaningful experiences.
