Cyber Safety Awareness Programme
DAV Public Sr. Sec. School, Parwanoo, organized a Cyber Safety Awareness Programme today to educate students about safe and responsible use of the internet. The programme was jointly organized by Inner Wheel Club, Parwanoo Pragati under the leadership of Mrs. Richa Sharma (President) and The Parwanoo Urban Cooperative Bank Ltd., Parwanoo.
The resource persons, Sh. Arvind Kochhar (DGM), Sh. Mahesh Kumar Mittal (AGM), Sh. Ankur Pathania (Manager–IT) and Ms. Monika Sharma (Manager), shared valuable information on various cyber crimes, online frauds, cyber bullying, OTP and banking scams, and safe digital practices. They also guided students on the immediate steps to take if they become victims of any cyber fraud.
Representing Police Station, Parwanoo, SI Sahil Rana and Sh. Rajinder Sharma also addressed the students and emphasized the importance of reporting cyber crimes promptly and using digital platforms responsibly.
The informative session helped students become more aware, vigilant, and responsible digital citizens.

DAV Public Sr. Sec. School, Parwanoo organised a Tree Plantation Drive in collaboration with Inner Wheel Club Pragati, Parwanoo, to promote environmental awareness and encourage students to care for nature.

The drive was conducted in a nearby park, where the students of Class XI (Arts) enthusiastically participated in planting saplings of Champa, Begonia, Rose, Chameli, and other ornamental plants along with President of Inner Wheel Club Pragati, Parwanoo, the club members, and President of the Municipal Committee, Parwanoo.

The programme concluded with a Green Pledge, encouraging students to protect the environment, nurture the planted saplings, and contribute towards a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable future.

International Yoga Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm at D.A.V. Public Senior Secondary School, Parwanoo, bringing together students, teachers and staff to promote physical and mental well-being. The event emphasized the importance of incorporating mindful practices into daily life to manage academic stress and maintain a healthy lifestyle.

A mass yoga session was conducted in which students performed warm-up exercises and were guided through various fundamental asanas such as Tadasana (Mountain Pose), Bhujangasana (Cobra Pose) and Surya Namaskar (Sun Salutations). The session aimed to enhance flexibility, improve physical fitness, and instill discipline among the participants.

The yoga practice was followed by breathing exercises and relaxation techniques, which helped students calm their minds, improve concentration, and achieve mental well-being. The programme also served as a reminder of the significance of yoga in maintaining harmony between the body and mind and in leading a healthy and balanced life.

The Investiture Ceremony of the Junior Wing was organized with great enthusiasm at DAV Sr. Sec. School Parwanoo. The ceremony marked the official appointment of the newly elected student council members.

The School Principal, Dr. Harneet Singh, congratulated the students on their selection and motivated them to carry out their duties with honesty, confidence, and responsibility. He honoured the young leaders by presenting them with badges and sashes, encouraging them to become role models for others.

Our school celebrated Library Week with great enthusiasm, transforming the library into a vibrant hub of learning, imagination, and creativity. Centered around fostering a love for reading and developing literary skills, the week featured a variety of engaging activities such as storytelling sessions, story-writing workshops, and interactive reading activities.

Fire Safety Week at DAV School

During Fire Safety Week at DAV School, a special fire safety session was conducted by the Fire Department, Parwanoo. The team visited the school and organized a fire mock drill for the students.

In this session, students were taught how to act during a fire emergency. They were made aware of important fire safety rules and precautions to stay safe.

Fire Officer Shri Arun Ji explained in detail how to use fire extinguishers. He demonstrated the correct method of handling them and also guided students about the safety measures to follow during a fire situation.

Students actively participated and learned how to stay calm, protect themselves, and help others during emergencies.

Parwanoo, April 22: On the occasion of World Earth Day, DAV Sr. Sec. School, Parwanoo organized an impactful awareness rally to highlight the importance of environmental conservation.
